Very helpful gadget!
This simple press made making my own homemade potstickers easy-peasy. I put the skin in the "bowl", barely moistened one of the halves on the edge, put a teaspoon of filling in the center, folded it in half and squeezed HARD. Not one single potsticker came open during frying! My family was impressed with homemade potstickers and none were left over. Very helpful gadget.

great potsticker press
I enjoy dim sum and we live in an area where it is not really available. So we tackle dumplings every once and a while. This press has simplified the process of making pot stickers quite a bit. I can make an entire package of dumpling skins into pot stickers in less than 1/2 hour. No that doesn't cover making the filling itself, but overall in an hour we can be eating lovely dumplings and I am not going crazy with wetting and folding the dumpling skins and having them unfold or tear. This press holds a slightly less than a teaspoon of filling and a round dumpling skin and just a quick press and onto the next one. I do use a fingertip of water on the edge on one side. I like the little handles. I spray mine with a touch of Pam at the beginning and it works for the whole batch. It is still a messy process so I make mine over a sheet pan and keep the mess more contained. This is a great inexpensive easy to use product and definitely a great idea. Recently we bought some larger potsticker skins from a San Francisco market which were a bit larger and thicker. They held almost 2 teaspoons of filling and it was a much faster and easier process to make dinner. Mostly we use the supermarket variety which are round and about 1/2" smaller than the inside of the press which is why those dumplings are so small. The press is still one of my favorite dedicated kitchen tools.

Seams to work as advertised

Eh, it'll do
You get what you pay for; it does the job but certainly not for a large project for consistent use (then I'd recommend shelling out for a product that isn't made of plastic).

Not impressed
We use 3-1/4 inch Gyoza wrappers, and have struggled making pot stickers with this press every time we have used it. Tonight is no different. The unit does not sit flat on the counter, you have to put a towel under it to keep it from rocking back and forth. Not only does it tear the wrappers when pressing together, when you finally get a good press, it tears when removing it. We had to throw away about half the wrappers to get a enough descent ones for dinner. Tonight was the final straw, it is going in the trash can.
