It worked to clear a non-root obstruction on my main 6" sewer line!
I have a 6 inch diameter cast iron 200 foot long sewer line that I cleared two years ago with a sectional sewer cleaning machine. At that time, there was only a minor amount of roots and the obstruction was primarily cause by non-flushable paper products. When the sewer line got obstructed this time, I thought to give this product a try. I was skeptical that this product would actually work, but the thought of getting a 300 lb sectional cleaning machine and all the rods into the basement motivated me to give it a chance. I used a 25 foot inexpensive garden hose that I connected to the main water line and fed the Drain King about 10 feet into the main line through a cleaning access. I have city water and so the pressure was very good (not sure if it was really 80 psi like the product literature said should be used, but it was definitely 60 psi). It made a humming noise when I turned on the water and I let it run for maybe 20 minutes. Afterwards, I checked the water flow and it was as good as after I cleared it two years ago! I could barely believe it, this thing actually cleared my sewer line! Thank you Drain King!

I decided to do a little research on line because I am a skeptic at heart probably like most of you taking the time to read this
This is the first review I have ever written in my 48 years. Please read if you are having drain issues. I spent $350 and 4 hours with a plumber and his assistant trying to unclog an underground outdoor drain. They came with a large high end trailer and a very expensive looking high pressure snake system that seemed state of the art. Long story short I watched them try and unclog this drain and after a lot of time spent and considerable mess I was told that it couldn't be done and I needed them to come back with a fiber optic exploratory camera. I am sure this would be just as expensive. I decided to do a little research on line because I am a skeptic at heart probably like most of you taking the time to read this are. I ran across this little product and watched a few demo videos and the principle behind it made sense and I thought the design and premise were genius in the simplicity and functionality of the invention. I made all the necessary preparations and inserted as instructed and turned it on. after a minute of observation to ensure it was sealed I went about my business and let it do its work. There was a lot of grunting and groaning and hissing and random sounds. After about 20 minutes I noticed the sound changing and getting more rhythmic and stable. I checked the end of the pipe and sure enough the water was flowing normally. turned off the water and pulled it out and tested the drain and it was flawless. If you are reading this and have a similar issue just stop researching and buy this product. It works. Period. One last thing to note. I started with a similar product i thought was the Drain King sold at home depot and I blew it out. It is NOT the same product. this one is sturdy and meant for real issues. The other is lightweight. If i were a plumber i would have all the fancy equipment and charge whatever plumbers charge to be in business but I would keep this product handy in my console when the others failed. Sometimes the simple basic solution is the right one and in this case it is 100% true. Get it and spend your time and $ on other things. It is a $ and time saver and the best 30 bucks I have ever spent.

Made me a believer, this works really well
This awesome. I have hired someone to clean my sewer in the past. Spent around $300, I’ve rented a machine to clean out the drain, spent around $150. I used this product today, it made me a believer. This really works. Best part I can use it again when I need it

Blow your troubles away
Great little device that can absolutely blow your troubles away.It is made of a good high quality heavy duty rubberized material that makes it high quality tough and dependable that can be used in some of the most harshest environments. My previous sewer balloon was punctured and was very difficult trying to get inside the sewer pipe but using the drain king it was easy installation inside the sewer pipe and it quickly took care of my sewer issues. I am glad that i purchased this one and i would recommend the drain king to all my friends

One of the sewer drain uncloggers to try first and is inexpensive
About several months ago my sewer drain became clogged. I was crapping in 8 gallon hefty bags placed in the toilet during that time and put them in my garbage can (no kidding). I had tried lye, Septic tank biodegradable microorganisms, foam root killer several times and nothing worked even several times. I was honestly looking at purchasing a motorized drain auger and had attempted to unclog it with just a garden hose with a sprayer attached which had worked before. I placed this inflatable bulb attached to a garden hose in a 4 inch clean out and that clean out could either be in the direction of my house drain which leads to my bathtub, kitchen sink, toilet etc or else to my 4 inch sewer. If I had it wrong water would come out my bathtub at first and I would have to shut off my water and retry it. But fortunately it headed towards my sewer and when I turned on the spigot I went in the house and no water was coming out of my bathtub so that was a good sign. I went outside and in for several minutes and no indication that water was coming out of my bathtub. Then I shut off the water spigot which deflates the sealing bulb and pulled out the hose. Sure enough water went right down my clean out which was a good sign. Then I just placed my water hose in the clean out and after a few minuted of running the water it was clear that the blockage broke. I then hooked up a sprayer attachment on the garden house to help wash out possible debris for a few minutes. Afterwards I pulled it out. Now this attachment for little cost had worked at breaking a blockage. I believe that the blockage occurred because of grape vine roots getting in the sewer line . I have since removed the grape vine but now I intend to put in some chemical root killer to get rid of the remaining possible roots which may cause another blockage and I want to prevent that. Also I will use some foam root killer too and also that Septic tank microorganism breakdown solution to help clean my sewer further. Anyway I am so relieved not having to call an expensive plumber. This item should be tried at first it's amazingly effective for so little cost.

Excellent device.Unblocked my kitchen drain after 30 minutes use. I had previously tried using a plunger, various chemical unblockers, and a power hose drain unblocker to no avail. And its simple to use. Screw on garden hose, push this device into the drain then turn on the hose.

We've had some problem with the sewers backing up ever since we moved in 5 years ago. Turns out we have a dip in the pipes where "stuff" collects, causing a blockage. I paid the plumbers a few hundred dollars a couple of times to clean it out, and then I tried doing it myself by renting a big 100 ft toilet auger (75 ft was too short). It was a PAIN! Huge drum thing that spin and you have to feed it down while it's spinning and get it all the way down to the blockage. Cheaper than the plumber but a almost a full-day affair with driving it to and from the tool rental. Then I found out about the existence of these sewer bladders. First I tried a cheap one from the local hardware store, but it didn't work, which I think was because the nozzle at the front was all rubber and just had a little hole in it. It wouldn't fill up by the water pressure alone, so it was basically useless. I did some more research and found this Drain King which has a proper metal pressure valve at the front, and it also pulses the water for more "dislodging" effect. It cleans the blockage better than the snakes/augers, where you basically just poke the stuff instead of pushing all of it evenly. And I don't have to push it down the 90 ft or whatever to the blockage, I just have to feed it in about 20 ft from the clean-out to where there are no more splits in the pipes to the blockage. Done in under an hour! It's LITERALLY the perfect solution to my problem. And it's cheaper and provides better results than the other solutions! NOTE: you are not supposed to push this into the blockage, you're only supposed to use the water pressure to clear the blockage. You stick it down the pipe deflated, you turn the water on causing the bladder to expand to create a seal in the pipe, and then it fills the pipe area between the bladder and the blockage with water. This pressure will then push on the blockage until the blockage gives way and the water carries the debris down the sewers. I let it run for quite a bit as I was watching the sewer end. I noticed the debris coming in "waves", so don't stop after the first one with the debris. Wait until there is clear water coming through and you can be sure you got it all.
