Before ordering trailer hubs, make sure you're ordering the correct sized hubs with the correct number of studs for the wheel. Take careful measurements between the bolt studs. Before installing, pack the bearings with trailer bearing grease, use a generous amount of grease. The more, the better. Make sure the inner and outer bearings are seated correctly inside the hub, it's not difficult to figure out as they only really fit one way. The ring with the rubber seal that goes into the rear of the hub should also be greased and tapped into the hub until it's flush. It's a tight fit, but must be tapped in flush (I carefully used a hammer and a wooden block) or the hub won't sit back on the axle far enough. Once that's done, install the whole hub with the bearings onto a clean, fully greased trailer axle. The front bearing is likely to pop back out during install. Not a big deal, just seat it on there and don't forget the washer. Castle nuts should be tightened with channel locks until tight, then backed out and only hand-tightened. By tightening things down with channel locks, the bearings will seat inside the hub properly. Just don't leave it overly tight or you're likely to burn your bearings out quickly. Instead of using the provided dust caps, you're better off using a bearing buddy (use the 1980 bearing buddy designed for 1.980" diameter hubs) and tapping that into the hub with a hammer or rubber mallet. Bearing buddies run about $30-$35 per pair and are well worth it, they retain pressure inside the hub and keep water out by keeping the grease pressurized around the bearings inside the hub. Especially important if you're backing your trailer into saltwater instead of freshwater. Don't forget to use a grease gun on those grease zerks and pack the inside of that hub with grease after installation. Use the grease gun every few months of use, perhaps more often depending on how often you're backing your trailer down boat ramps. Great replacements, seem well-made, heavy duty. Just as good as the originals from what I could tell.

Great kit and very affordable
These ar fantastic for the money. I had not changed out bearings on a trailer for years so I drove the seal in before putting in the inner bearing. I had to drive it back out and oder some new seals, lol! They work great, ...wish they had hotter pins. The extra seals i ordered came with one each.

New hubs
The washer, nut, and Carter pin did not fit my axle. Used my old ones and everything else fit great. Got 2 for less than one at auto zone

Decent quality. Fit 3500lb axle. Prefere solid dust caps for the boat so be prepared to purchase them separately if that's what you want.

Fits perfectly. Two different sets of bearings and seals for a 1" or a 1.0625" OD axle. Solid price point. I would purchase these again with confidence.

Half the price of my local stores, and it feels just as durable, I would reccomend

These are great and fit and finish is the same as the OEM ones that came on the trailer. The rubber insert doesn't have the ability to use a grease gun without taking them out so I used the original lippert ones
