I needed to replace my Subaru's lame stereo but would only do so if I could keep everything appearing as "stock" as possible in the event I ever sell/trade the car. In other words, in addition to the steering wheel controls and backup camera, the USB and AUX ports in the armrest/console MUST remain active and usable. I didn't want USB cables dangling from the glove-box, I didn't want to modify the dash to implement new ports and I certainly didn't want useless/dead ports in the console.Fortunately, the wire harness from autoharnesshouse (also sold here on Amazon) and the idatalink maestro-sw took care of the steering wheel, camera and AUX port and RED WOLF's USB retention cable took care of the USB port.All is as it should be! This was able to convert the OEM USB plug of my 2015 outback into a standard USB A connector. Apple car play works (just as long as you have the single USB port. Not the dual USB model).

Works perfectly on my 2021 STi, both plugs in centre console work again with the after market headunit
