The first thing I noticed when it arrived was how well it was packaged. It was very secure. Removing it from its silk wrapping, I was immediately impressed. It looked great, and felt very solid. It felt substantial as well, but not overly heavy. There is a lot of attention to detail in this blade, and it is scary sharp. Everything is tight as can be, and the grip feels awesome in the hand. I know enough about blades in general to know when I see something nice, and for the money, this is an amazing Katana. I would happily purchase it again. In fact, I like it so much that I bought their Wakizashi as well. To me, the value of an item is the sum of it's quality, features, and price. Using this formula, I can say that I am extremely pleased with both swords, and if you are looking for something in this price range, Murasame is the way to go.

I can't say enough about this katana. It arrived in super-secure packaging and was in flawless condition. The fit and finish far exceeded my expectations: the blade was very sharp, straight and had a mirror finish with no waves, scratches or sharpening marks. The tsuba and other fittings were beautiful and tightly locked in place. The saya (scabbard) was finished and outfitted with precision. Everything was exactly as pictured on the Amazon web page. On top of this, the sword is fully functional as well as an impressive display piece. I will definitely buy from Murasame again. How they can deliver a sword like this for the cost of a large kitchen knife is a wonder. This is one of the best products I've ever purchased on Amazon. I have 13 Katanas of various price points, including several 3-4 times more expensive, but they all pale in comparison. The attention to detail, quality of craftsmanship and striking beauty of this sword/sheath is beyond what was expected. I can honestly say if I could only pick one katana to keep out of my collection, this would be it. While the craftsmanship is obvious, the English tag has to be the comedic icing on the cake, as it reads....Do not use it for children and do not conduct violent tests... Haha! A+ to the sword smith.
