If my wife liked the smell it would be a 5 star product. If it doesn't pass the wife test then it's a no go.

If you want to rock a pompadour, this may not be the best choice. But if you want your hair to calm down (damn cowlick) and behave a bit, this is the stuff. And it has really helped with an itchy scalp too. With the shea butter and coconut oils it has stopped all the itching. It also makes your hair feel really smooth without making it crunchy. The smell is mild...kinda earthy with a little of the coconut coming through. It is very mild, but pleasant. Bottom line is that it really just tamed my hair and seems to be good for the scalp. I would recommend it as a base, even if you want to slap something else on to pile it up. Be well and feel good.

I once asked Amazon if this will work for women's hair, and the answer I received from a male customer was,"no." I have 4c hair grade, and I'm always looking for something to moisturize my hair, so I ordered it anyway. I washed and conditioned my hair and put a curling gel in it, then I put the pomade on each section as I would twist, twist by twist. My hair was moisturized and springy. As a matter of fact I have minimal breakage due to dryness. I'm so glad I didn't listen to the male customer's "no". Besides, how many men knows about 4c hair. I hope this review will not make the price go up.

The texture of product is very hard , directions are to take a dap and melt in the palm of hands , but it’s very hard to do because of the hardness , don’t know if it’s suppose to be that way but I gave it three stars based on texture, once melted and apply it does what it describes.
