Easy to install.
Feels and looks solid. Every easy to install and lots of information out there in this device. Gives you piece of mind when you see the engineers explaining how this works and how they tested it. Videos can be seen on YouTube.

Easy to Install with Basic Electrical Knowledge.
I removed the circuit breaker panel. Installed a new double 20amp breaker to connect the EMP Shield to. This was done to have a clean circuit with ZERO load on it. I mounted the box to the inside of circuit breaker panel with 2 self tapping sheet metal screws (not included). Mine is wired and installed like "Figure 7" in the instructions. The only difference is the new double 20amp breaker installed on the bottom left side of the panel. I verified both L1 and L2 LEDs were on and monitoring the circuit. If you don't know what you're doing working with electricity. STOP and pay an electrician, it will save your LIFE and keep you from possibly burning your HOUSE DOWN!!!I got several estimates so people here will know what to expect. The low estimate was $250 and the upper estimate was $325. This is in North Texas.

I am a verified purchaser and have no affiliation with EMP Shield other than purchasing their product.I gave this item 4 stars because ultimately, I won’t know if it works until I get hit with either a High Altitude EMP, Coronal Mass Ejection (CME), or lightning strike. However, I did as much research as I could to include reading the EMI Test report from Keystone Compliance which evaluated the device for: MIL-STD-188-125-1, MIL-STD-461G & MIL-STD-464C and passed. It’s also conforms to UL 1449 standards. Further, I also read DHS’s Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Protection and Resilience Guidelines for Critical Infrastructure and Equipment and EMP Shield is listed as a vendor supplying EMP rated filters and suppressors. These reports are all listed on their website with links to the source. The owner also has an informative one-hour interview on YT discussing this product in detail.I also watched videos from Dr. Arthur Bradley (empdoctor), who has dozens of videos and testing on this subject and is not affiliated with EMP Shield. Unfortunately, he has not reviewed this product to my knowledge, but his research is consistent with what EMPShield claims to accomplish, especially if you further harden your plug in electronics (especially microprocessors) with Broadband EMP Ferrites, which is also recommended in the DHS report. Dr. Bradley recommends the Siemens FS140 for surge protection with Ferrites on the AC supply lines to the electric panel, and as I mentioned, individual ferrites on the AC plug in for each electronic device. Unlike the Siemens FS140, EMP Shield claims to block the E1, E2, and E3 energy from an EMP, and confirmed by Keystone Compliance, which is why I bought it. BTW, the Siemens FS140 is almost as much on Amazon as EMP Shield and not half the price as the previous reviewer stated; if you purchase from Amazon vice their website.Installation is pretty much as advertised, although unless you have two adjacent and open slots in your panel, it’s going to take you more than “10 minutes or less” to install the 2 pole 20 amp breaker. So, do your own research and decide.
