Well worth the money
My son and I have gotten our money’s worth of entertainment out of this. It has been beat on and abused in every way imaginable. Landing gear was ripped off flying head on into a steel fence. Front cowling and original prop lost to the side of the garage. Plane has been gorilla-glued back together after serious crashes more times than I can count. And yet, somehow she still flies. Great freaking product!

Not for beginners….but a good buy
First off it’s not for beginners or would it fly out of box. Like any RC model plane priced at this point. You will need to build it and have “some knowledge” of RC air craft and how they work to have successful flight and fun. I say this because the instructions are translated Chinese, so very vague. If you have some RC knowledge this is a very scale Piper Cub, well built and very realistic. Assembling was typical, things needed shaving or slight sanding to fit nice. Over all a great model. Not made for windy days over 5-7 mph unless your a experience rc pilot, it’s a small aircraft doesn’t take much wind to blow it around. The stability giro system works as it should, but flying in 3D mode gives the best control. Most RC aircraft lovers will enjoy this plane. Was fun to assemble and flys nice after all ground checks are made and trims are set.

Nice Plane Hard to fly
Hard to fly for beginners

This is not your usual Volantex or Horizon airplane. This one’s a little different.
11-1-2024: I bought this primarily because it is different compared to the other planes in my workshop.1, I like the design (makes sense to my eyes) but it is not executed (built) well. The parts don’t fit together all that well. e.g., the two tabs that anchor the wing’s leading edge are further apart than the slots they must go into. I had to use a Dremel with a 1/16” straight router bit to open up the slots enough to get the tabs to go in.2. The two locking keys that anchor the trailing edge of the wing were nearly impossible to install. I really thought I’d crush the whole airframe as I was trying to force the key through the wing and into the receiver. I finally got it, but applying the necessary force was nerve wracking.3. You’ll have to re-drill the holes in the landing gear and strut anchoring point with a 2 mm bit and then the anchoring point itself with a 1.5 mm bit.4. All that aside, I like the airplane but stay tuned for an update after I’ve had a chance to fly it.I’m learning there are several, if not many, other manufacturers of our favorite toys out there, and I’m going to try a few. How else will we improve the breed? I don’t yet know what else CKYSCHN WLtoys makes, but I’m going to look with interest.================================UPDATE 11-15-24: I did do a One minute Maiden flight yesterday!: I did not have the airplane rigged correctly (means the static position of the flight control surfaces was not neutral) and, consequently, the airplane flew in a left turn only and was nose heavy. I decided- after the third circle- that I’d better bring it down and correct the problem. First impressions:A. The landing gear is fragile. Back in the shop, I glued the various landing gear attachment points to the airframe.B. Trimming the a/c requires knowing how, and it’s a weird procedure: First, the controller won’t trim the airplane unless the motor is running (very weird),so I held the plane while the motor ran, and then I was able to use the trim switches to “zero” the control surfaces. The controller shows 1, 2, or 3 dots from center on the trim “scale” presented on the controller screen. Hold the trim switch and listen to the beeping, and you’ll see the control surfaces move and dots either come or go. But I couldn’t get that result unless the prop was turning.C. Flight characteristics: it’s quite fast and responsive. I stayed in SAFE and am glad I did, but because of the mis-rigging, I did not fly the plane so much as struggle to control it in the persistent left turn. I’ll fly it again as soon as I can re-rig the controls and the wind permits; then do a further update.D. The airplane and controller bonded quickly and easily every time.Another update coming soon, I hope.=====================11-15-24, laterChanged my rating from 5 to 2 stars. After “re-rigging” it, I took it out to see how it really flew (in SAFE, of course).2nd flight: Hand launched, the airplane seemed to struggle for flying speed, eventually reaching it and then started to climb. Uncontrollably. Apparently the elevator, despite my trimming the stabilizer and elevator “flat”, it was still trimmed steeply nose up. I shut the throttle and it started down, but it was wing-walking constantly and I was having great difficulty holding a constant heading. Nearing the ground, it suddenly stalled and spun in. Damage was minor, all to the landing gear. The glue held, but the parts broke.Third flight: The hand launch went as before (struggling for airspeed) and the wing walking increased to the point of uncontrollability. I simply could not get the plane to turn back towards me, and about a hundred yards out, a line of huge oaks seemed to beckon the Cub, which was now at about 75 feet and wing walking madly.I was still in SAFE mode, so I think what was happening was that the wind was tossing the little plane around, and the auto-stabilizing gyro was either over-reacting or was reacting too slowly. These are not Spektrum electronics….. The resulting instability and my inability to turn the plane away from the trees… well, you know where it wound up. The tree has a pretty good grip on it, and while I’d very much like to try it again without SAFE turned on, it’s 30 feet up and I’m not gonna try getting on a stepladder with a 20’ pole trying to get it.I said it was different at the outset. It is, and maybe as a consequence I suddenly like my Volantex and Horizon Hobby airplanes a whole lot more. And, while my basis for judging R/C airplanes only a few actual flying hours, I also have 2,000 actual pilot hours, mostly in single seat Navy jets, and 165 carrier landings.LP

Looked great
Looked great in the videos and I wanted to try it. Came with some bad parts. Amazon was amazing in the return process.

so much like the real thing
This plane would be thought of as the real plane in the right camera position. It hard for someone 91 years old to put together but when I got one that the motor would run, it is a site for all the club members to see and love to watch it fly. would recommend and buy again.

Rc plane
This RC plane little piper cub is amazing. It is very easy to fly in beginner mode and you can really have some fun and advanced mode. It’s little harder to fly and advanced, but very good handling playing. The wingspan is perfect for the frame of the body. The only problem I’ve had with it is the props breaking, but you can buy tickets for them and the landing gear, collapsing on your land. I want to get a really nice little piper cub.
