Fantastic Stand
Cooling - I purchased this stand for use in college, primarily so I could raise my laptop to the same height as my primary monitor. While my focus in purchasing this was on raising my laptop, the stand also helps cool the laptop. I have been thoroughly surprised i its effectiveness. Many times my friends and I will be working on homework together running programs such as Microsoft Teams and Mathworks Matlab simultaneously. In doing so, I will have my laptop on the stand so I can use my monitor. While my friends identical college-issued laptops are very, very hot due to the intensive tasks they are completing, mine is, at the most, warm to the touch. The only difference is that I am using the stand, and they are not. The slots in the stand, while not overly large, do aid in cooling the laptop significantly.Build Quality - Prior to purchasing this stand, I saw several reviewers mentioning the finish on the stand, claiming it had an almost gritty quality. After receiving the product, I believe those customers were hoping for a very high level of final finishing. That is not to say that it is not a high quality finish, but if you are expecting it feel like the aluminum lid of a Macbook, it will have a slightly coarser finish than that. The stand has rubber pads on all points it would contact the laptop with. These pads are mounted very securely to the frame, and I am not concerned at all about them falling off. If I would have to guess, they are made of a type of silicone and have shown no signs of wear after 2 months of daily use. They are also present on the bottom of the stand to protect the surface it is set on.The stand itself is constructed of 4mm thick aluminum all around. As such, it is very sturdy. I would be absolutely shocked if a laptop broke one of these stands. I have even used it to hold textbooks temporarily, and it has held them with supreme ease.Color - I purchased the model in the darker gray color. I did not have anything I was trying to match it with. As such, I cannot say whether it will match Apple's Space Gray products, although it looks very reminiscent of it.For reference, my laptop is an HP Elite Dragonfly with a 13.3 inch screen, and my monitor is a 21.5 inch Acer unit.

Sturdy, Attractive Back-Saver
I am guilty of finding books throughout my home to stack on my kitchen island in order to save my back from the pain of hunching over my laptop as I edit photos or work on assignments/lesson plans. I recently had to purchase a new laptop, so why not upgrade my laptop accessories, too?• If you're wondering (like I was), yes, you can type on your laptop when it is on this stand. I am writing this whole review this way just to see how it goes. It IS sturdy enough for you to rest your hands on the laptop and type, but I have found out through using it that my kitchen island surface is not level (it bobbles around a bit as I type). If you're surface is level, this would be a much better experience (I did test out the stand on my countertop just to be sure, and the stand works perfectly on a level surface).• The stand is VERY sturdy and looks really nice. It's not a perfect match with the color of my laptop, but it's really close (I have the space grey color). It looks pretty seamless overall. The silicon pads appear to be placed very well, unlike other reviews I read before purchasing. Maybe they've fixed that issue.• For the price, I'd say that this stand is well worth it! It looks great and I can tell that it is going to save me from a lot of back strain. Since my island surface is not level, I may look into purchasing an external keyboard to go along with my external mouse. I think that would make the experience much more seamless, and more practical for when I need to type lesson plans or write papers for college classes.• For photo editing, when I rarely need to type, I wouldn't need to invest in a keyboard. For typing-intensive activities, I would recommend a keyboard to go along with it.Overall, I highly recommend!

Best of the three I bought
I bought three laptop stands, this solid design and then two others that flip up and have variable heights. I like this one by far the best. It’s very sturdy, it’s the right height for me, with the bumper in the middle it doesn’t affect your wrists for typing, and with it being raised up it provides a better ergonomic position than the ones that sit on a table. The other two I got sit on the table and lift the laptop up from there, then your wrist bends at a sharp angle. This one is raised a couple of inches so your rest can be straight, tho you do need some thing to pad your elbows if you’re resting them on the table. So, this was the best overall for ergonomics, stability, and nice looks. The only downside is it’s a solid piece, does not collapse, so you need somewhere that you can tuck it away in a closet we’re not using and of course it’s not portable. I will keep the other foldable one that I got as a portable back up to carry in my laptop case.

Well Designed Laptop stand! The height is ergonomic, which is good for a student like myself!
I purchased this laptop stand and I am extremely happy with my purchase. The stand has made a significant improvement in my posture and comfort while working on my laptop for extended periods of time. The stand is well-designed and well-built, providing a sturdy and stable base for my laptop. It is also adjustable, allowing me to find the perfect height and angle for my needs. This has greatly reduced the strain on my neck and shoulders, which was a major issue for me prior to getting the stand.Overall, I would highly recommend this laptop stand to anyone looking for a comfortable and ergonomic solution for working on their laptop. It has made a significant difference in my comfort level and productivity, and I'm sure it will do the same for others as well.

Solid and sleek
High quality product, rubber stoppers to hold the laptop in place are high quality. The laptop is stable and sit at the right height. You can feel the quality in the weight, this thing is not flimsy.
