At one time I could pop into my local market and buy any size of pie plate I wanted- not so now, living in rural Ireland where the shopping is limited. I really needed a new one as the tired old thing I had been using for many years had stated to develop rust - not the added ingredient needed in an apple pie. So began the search, and this isn't easy because so many suppliers are a little timid when it comes to stating measurements. I knew what I needed, but did they? Anyway, I chose this one.Obviously I lack the ability to imagine size because this thing is HUGE. It could feed the 5000 I'm sure. Failing that it could double up as a jacuzzi, or a footbath. However, I have limited its use to the kitchen and have baked several types of pie and a rhubarb crumble. Normally I would put a crumble in a rectangular dish - I don't know why, just I always have, but this came out of the cupboard first and, amazingly, its capacity is exactly the same as the rectangular one.I just threw this in the dishwasher to clean and it came out nice and shiny and completely crumble free, so I'm pleased with it. My only grumble would be the price as it is more than I would normally pay, however, it is well made and should see me out.

The dish is fine. Delivery was not. I had not received the package and checked on line. The tracking notice read ‚delivered to resident‘ It was not ‚delivered to resident‘ nor was it in our safe place - the front porch or outside on the step as it sometimes is. We were in all day .no one rang the bell. I found the package when I went out today .. it was at the end of the drive. Did a drone deliver it? No …
