I purchased the Laeto Summertime Days Childrens Play Sand for my kids' outdoor sandpit and water table activities. It is a good, high-quality product that delivers on the promise of soft, clean sand for play. I've given it 4 stars because, while the sand itself is excellent for play, the initial condition upon delivery was a bit surprising, which is a common mixed experience among buyers. The Best Bits: Quality and Playability The actual sand is fantastic once ready for use. It's premium, ultra-soft, and has a great fine texture that doesn't feel scratchy on little hands. It feels very similar to good quality wet beach sand and holds its shape well, making it easy for the kids to build castles and other creations. It is non-toxic, allergen-free, and safe for children's play areas, which provides great peace of mind for parents. The sand doesn't stain clothes and is easy to brush off, which is a massive plus for cleanup. The kids have had hours of fun with it. Areas for Improvement The primary issue for me was that the sand was quite damp when it arrived in a sealed bag. The packaging was also sometimes a plain bag without branding, unlike the product photos. While being slightly damp helps with moulding castles, it meant I had to lay it out in the sun for a couple of hours to dry out properly before putting it in the sandpit. Some customers also feel the natural brown colour could be lighter to look more like typical white beach sand. Recommendation I would highly recommend this play sand for a safe, fun, and high-quality sensory experience for children. It's versatile for use in sandpits, water tables, and classrooms. Just be prepared that you might need to dry it out in the sun for a bit before the first use!
