I have been loving this brand since I was in high school. I’m 40. They are on the expensive side but worth the buy. They write really smooth. It has the click click to get the lead to come out and click hold to push the lead back in. I like to hold a thicker pencil than the standard mechanical pencils normally are. The pencil is very durable if dropped. Thickness of the lead is the normal .7mm. You can refill the lead and get erasers for the top. It is not a heavy pencil.

I've been using the Paper Mate Clearpoint Mechanical Pencils for a while now, and they’ve become my go-to for both note-taking and sketching. The erasability is excellent, the attached twist-up eraser actually works well and lasts longer than most built-in erasers. It erases cleanly without leaving smudges or tearing the paper. In terms of comfort, the grip is soft and ergonomic, making long writing sessions much easier on the hand. It’s definitely one of the more comfortable mechanical pencils I’ve used. The lead quality is also solid. It writes smoothly and quickly with minimal drag, and the pencil lays down a consistent line that’s easy to read. Write speed feels natural and fluid, great for fast note-taking. One thing I really appreciate is how well it holds up, breakability is low. The lead doesn’t snap easily unless you’re pressing down super hard, and the pencil itself feels sturdy, not flimsy like cheaper brands. Overall, these pencils work extremely well and check all the boxes: comfort, durability, clean erasing, and smooth writing. Highly recommend, especially for students or anyone who writes a lot!

These are my favorite mechanical pencils. The design of the barrel makes it easy to hold. The lead is strong and rarely breaks. Writing with this pencil creates smooth even strokes. The color variety makes the pencils fun to use. Wish the pack was cheaper because you have to refill the lead, but the eraser lasts a long time, so I will definitely purchase again and again.

The eraser is HUGE! I love the eraser. The lead is hard to break. Amazing colors. Easy to mix and match.

Great writing quality, I love the twist up eraser. Easy to change the lead, great gripping power. My daughter loves to use them.

The best mechanical pencils of all time, and essential for back to school shopping, the accuracy and smooth writing of the pencils are extraordinary! The only down side to this it please make sure to order some led separately, the led it comes with is about a couple days use.

Will buy again - my 11 year old daughter loves it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I do soduko and crossword puzzles and these pencils are my favorite ones to use. PROS They are comfy to hold. They are the thickness of a comfortable pen. They take .07mm leads so they write nicely and are always easy to see. They smoothly glide as you write, they don't feel hard and sticky like some mech pencils do. They erase completely. CONS Though the eraser is large because it twists up as you need it I find that twisting design twists in its own when im writing so when I need the eraser it's all the way down and I have to twist it up every time. I find it easier to use a separate eraser. The grippers around the bottom come loose and just flop around so I have to tear or cut them off. The pencil is still very much usable without them, though. I will continue to purchase these pencils because they are the best I've found.
