They work as wanted... need to be sure your down wind but we used them camping , dinner and relaxing on the deck.

I LOVE this thing! I got it in a box of stuff from a friend who was moving. I had to get the refills for it (and the fuel cartridges don’t last very long) but I use it every night on our outdoor table for dinner (which is a plus since to eat inside would mean clearing off the cluttered disaster that is our kitchen table). I get this thing going about 10 minutes before we’re ready to head out and it has cleared the mosquitos and many if not all of the black flies from the vicinity! We also have been using it camping as well, setting it near the tent entrance before turning in for the night or even in the tent when setting up. It works great! I highly recommend. But be sure to give it a good 10 minutes to warm up before it’s at its full potential.

Best value for refills. These work even in the swamps of Florida. I know when its time to replace a pad because i can hear the mosquitos getting closer again. If you dont want to spray chemicals on your skin and clothes, these are highly effective and have almost no odor.

We use these for a portable thermacell that we carry for hunting. Mosquitos start coming and we turn it on - they leave and no more bug issues! Great to have!

My Therma cell is a life saver when we hunt the swamps in southeast Louisiana. I usually go through fuel cells faster than scent pads so I ordered a 4 pack of spares on sale. I removed one star because in my opinion these are expensive for the little time they last. I wish they were cheaper, or someone made aftermarket replacements that were just as good. For now I guess I just got to pay the money. There are a few hack videos out there on how to refill these, but it seems more trouble than it's worth to me so I just buy the replacements as needed. I find the big bulk packs offer the best value. I also wish Therma cell would not have discontinued the earth scent pads. It's all I used to buy for deer hunting. I know these things work when used in the right conditions, because if you forget it at home when you are sitting in the deer stand the bugs will gladly let you know that you left it at home.

Local store seems to always be out of refill kits. fits and work without issue!

I have ordered these many times. Living in Florida and wanting to be outside at night you need some type of mosquito repellent. These inserts are easy to put in the Thermo cell unit

Mosquitos love me and this products keeps them away! They are a bit pricey, but to be mosquito free, it's worth it!
