As others said, it can be easily modified to fit a Polaris General XP, 2020 and newer for sure and possibly older ones. The master cylinder stud spacing this mounts to is about a half inch narrower on the General so a hole must be drilled next to the right hand hole on this part. After doing this it bolts right on and works fine. The red hook is quite tight over the brake pedal arm so I added a couple washers under the part to space it out and make easier to set the brake.

This is a reasonably priced and well-made safety device that installs easily and really does work as a mechanical brake pedal lock... No adjustments needed, works right out of the box after installation. I'm very pleased with the purchase - one of my better upgrades to the Ranger.

Works perfect!!! Installation took less than 5min. Bolted right up to my 2023 Polaris Ranger XP1000. I didn’t like the hardware that came in it (it was already starting to corrode so I replaced the bolt with an aircraft style stainless steel bolt and nut. I also didn’t like that the original hardware had a lot of play between the catch and frame so I used washers as shims to make it have as little play or wiggle as possible. See my pictures for installation as this product does not come with any instructions but it’s pretty self explanatory. Other reviewers said they were drilling holes!! No need on this model it bolts right up.

I first came across a parking brake add-on for my Polaris General at an off-road trade show. I was impressed with the simple design, and have always wondered why Polaris did not install a parking brake on these machines. I wanted to buy it from the vendor at the show as they are a small company and I like to support small businesses. That said, they were asking about $80. Not bad for safety's sake, but pricey for what it is, and more than I was prepared to spend that day. This one is almost the same for a fraction of the cost. I often stop on inclines on the trails, but try to find the most level spot. Having some sort of parking brake is just better. It doesn't replace common sense and I still park in a way that is as safe as possible, but it does work well and holds the machine in place.
