This stuff is pricey but super strong. Really hard to cut compared to the quarter inch galvanized steel mesh you can get at Lowes. Used this to keep rats out and it is working amazing.

Worked great for what I used it for. I wish it was shipped flat and not rolled up. It's a little hard to flattened back out.

Love this product. I have since repurchased and will continue to use as I need. Great price. One day arrival. Easy to mold and work with. Would recommend 5 stars.

I bought this item to cover a gas fireplace outlet to keep the birds out in the spring and summer. It's easy to cut and shape. This roll was plenty for what I needed.

The sharp edges of this mesh are dangerous. Being very careful, I still cut my hands twice while trying to bend the protruding wires over (with gloves on) to produce "smooth", workable edges. Each piece I tried to bend over simply broke off, leaving shorter snags that would still cut skin. For my purposes, those edges prevented me for being able to use the product at all. Bottom line is the edges should be cut flush before shipping.

Comes in a roll, and the strands are not welded, so it “ravels.” Not a good choice for soldering tripod (which is what I bought it for) - too lightweight. That said, it does work, for light-weight pieces. If you buy this for soldering, be aware that you will need some kind of brake or bender to turn over the ends after you cut it to size - that might be easier if you torch it first. Right out of the box, it resists flattening, and springs back into a roll. Edges are cut, so be prepared to get scratched. Note: in use, once it’s torched, it loses temper, and sags. /// If I were looking for a replacement tripod screen, I’d look for one with heavier steel, welded wire, wider openings, and that was already the right size for my tripod.

Very heavy mesh, well welded together. Top quality stainless. Be careful bending or cutting as the edges are sharp. I molded this into a grate for poaching salmon in quantity and it works great.

Read the reviews below -- the material is not welded and the weave opens when cut. I bought edging for this (room temperature application) -- Eytool Car Door Protectors Edge Guards Clear,16Ft(5M) Car Edge Trim Rubber Seal Protector with U Shape Car Protection Door Edge Guard Fit for Most Car (Clear) ASIN B07KC2B4DW -- so as not to have sharp wire when the mesh was cut to size. The edging did not work for this -- I am returning both. I have standard heavy duty compound action "aircraft" snips -- but this stainless did not cut "clean" and did unravel. It also does not flatten, despite being under a full flattening surface under load for 24 hours at room temperature (I do not have an annealing oven in which to flatten it).Depends on the size of the fire pit, but 1 ft. by 2. ft. isn't a very large pit. Also, the item comes rolled up in a box so straightening it flat would be problematical, though not impossible. I used this for an outside drain pipe cover. Worked perfectly for my application.
