Been 3 months…
So far, so good - as long as I remember it is not like a regular exercise ball chair. There is no bounce to this and it took some adjusting to get the firmness not to make my butt hurt, but it is great now. Hip pain I had from previous chair is gone.

Only stool that doesn't give me back pain!
This is the only stool I can sit in without back pain. You can inflate it as much as you want to - inflate it less for a more cushy feel, inflate more for a more "bouncy" feel. Either way, it works on your dynamic sitting balance, makes you naturally sit with good posture, and, at least for me, really helps with back pain. I'm in healthcare and sit often to document/work with patients. This stool is a game changer in my weekly work routine.

Seriously?
I was excited. I need a comfortable stool. I love balance balls. The material seems thick and stiffer. Out of the box, the seat was sticky. Gross. I attempted to fill the seat, to test it before assembling all the chair. 15 minutes later, it was just as flat. The hand pump did not have a nozzle to fit in the hole. Attempts to center the end over the hole and pump most of the air in was a failure. In the meanwhile, the machine grease on the pump got all over my hands. if you do manage getting a decent pump of air, you then have to remove the manual pump away from the hole, fill it and then reset it on the concave, unflat surface to reseat the nozzle - EACH TIME - it seemed that there was no valve to prevent the air from escaping, if it was filling at all. My bf said I was doing it wrong, his results were no better. I was so frustrated, I refused to even look at it next day - it needs to go far, far away.

Exactly what I wanted! I thought.
I’ve wanted this stool for several years after using the ball style chair for over a decade. I lucked into catching it while it was briefly in stock. I use both this and the ball chair in my alterations shop. Most chairs designed to be sat on for 8+ hours are not suitable for using at a sewing machine. This is the perfect seat for me. I’m keeping an eye on the listing so I can pick up another for my home sewing space. 🙂Edit after bringing it home and using for about 8 months a few hours a week: If you have cats with claws, either add a padded cover, or make sure they can never jump up on this. I made the mistake of forgetting to tuck it under my sewing table and came back to a small slit on the top. After attempting to fix the small tear with flex seal tape, it held air for about 3 hours and began to deflate again. When I removed the tape the tear was twice as big. 😢Since the seats aren’t available by themselves anywhere, I ended up adding a foam seat and and fabric cover. I won’t invest in another one even though the price came back down from the jacked up price when everyone started working from home. I think at one point it went up to $129 😕

Great for 2 Years now wont hold air.
I have had this stool for 3 years at my daily 8-4 office job. I am ADHD and health conscious and wanted an alternative to a desk chair but I also needed to switch from a traditional exercise ball as they aren't as conducive to wearing certain workwear (dresses and skirts). I LOVED this stool but for the last 6 months, it will not stay inflated. Last year I noticed a few tiny holes leaking air, likely from repeated use, and small rivets on pant pockets and zippers on the backs of skirts/dresses rubbing on the rubber day after day. I super glued the tiny holes I could find and that helped for a few months, but now I am having to reinflate every morning when I get to the office. I am torn between buying this stool again or going to a different brand/model to see if something else lasts longer. I do think 3 years is a pretty good run for daily use but not sure I want to spend the money again knowing the same thing will probably happen to the next one!

It's a dud.
I've had this item before and this one came with a piston that does not work properly so the height is not adjustable os it's stuck in the lowest position.

Great distance learning chair for kids/carpet
My son was leaning back in his chair during distance learning and it was trenching out groover in the carpet. We replaced it with this chair, which both kids LOVE. It keeps their body working in a way that helps them sit more quietly. They have also taken to sitting on it while watching TV as well. Somehow my 8yo daughter managed to tip the chair and fall over with it during one such evening (definitely not an issue of the design, more an issue with the child!). My son also was doing homework and the chair "accidently" deflated. He claims to have no idea how the chair was punctured. Upon inspection i'm thinking either a steel pencil or arts and crafts scissors may be the culprit. Unbelievable... it's not even a month old! In any case, a quick internet search suggested a bit of goop with duct tape. We used a vinyl patch with goop and all seems to be holding wonderfully now...though my 11 year old son hasn't yet started his "bouncing" routine. In any case, great product, excellent for impulse control / always moving kids. Thanks!

Poor instructions for assembly and wrong pump given.
Very poor instructions for assembly! The instructions are printed so small I could barely see them. They’re just tiny pictures. After putting it together, I realized the gave me the wrong pump, so I am unable to inflate the chair! I’ve contacted their customer support and no response. This is a large item and I live in a very rural area, so difficult to return. Really disappointed.
