A good air compressor for those times you can't get help
UUP Tire Inflator Air Compressor, 150PSI 12V DC Double Cylinders Heavy Duty Portable AirOk folks, this is an honest review.I have beel looking for a 12v dc air compressor for lidterally a couple years now.I was tired of those cheapies that either can't pump up the air while it sounds like it is going to fall apart, or just sound like they will struggle just to get a little air in the tire.Lets face it, when you are on the road and you have a tire that needs air, what are you gonna do?Thats where I was. I have a couple of really cheap air pumps and hoped they would work when I needed them, but I knew I had dto find something that was of better dependability.I noticed my tire was low on air, and I was out of town. My crappy 12v air compressors were at home.I dove into Amazon and started my continuing search for a 12v dc air compressor, but this time I HAD TO FIND ONE.I spent the better part of a day looking for a compressor, a lot of them just didn't look like they could hold up, looking much like my crappy ones at home.I paid a lot of attention to the reviews. This compressor had outstanding reviews. In reviews you expect to hear some crab complain about something stupid, usually from something THEY did to cause the problem.BUT not one bad complaint on thnis unit.Reading further, they talk about how sturdy this compressor was, the dual pistons, the strong motor. One fellow said he used it only on his 18 wheeler, and it preformed for him perfectly... THAT SOLD ME.I ordered to to be delivered where I was staying and it arrived in a coupld days.I read the instructions so I wouldn't miss anything important and went out to the car.THIS compressor has both a cigarette lighter plug and a pig tail that clamps onto the battery posts direct with the cig lighter plug socket where the compressor plug will plugs into. This compressor can take 20 amps (acording to the instructions) so you probably should not plug into the cars cigarette lighter sockete. Some are fused at 10 amps and this compressor will blow the fuse. The compressor cigarette plug also has a fuse, a 20 amp I think and you get a spare fuse or two.You also get a couple of nozzeles for blowing up sports balls and air toys plus you get an odd device that attaches to a screw driver. It has little horns stickin gout in variuos directions and from what I read, is for doing something that I will never do, to the tire. It mayh be to take the tire off the rim but I'm not doing that. You also get a coiled hose that connects to the compressor and nozzel, but you may not need it. You get about 20 feet of electrical cord, which JUST REACHED my tire that was in trouble. This is where the coild of tubing might come in handy or hae an additional 25 foot of wire to connect to extend the rezch of the compressor. you would need a regular cigarette lighter socket on one end and aplug on the other.Plugging into the power we find the compressor has 2 switches, one is for the LED LIGHT and the other is to turn on the compressor motor.Attach the hose to the tire valve, you should get a PSI reading, mine was very low.Turning the motor switch on (strongly advised to have the car running when you do this), and the compressor comes to life. The sound of the compressor running is very different from that of the cheap compressors rattling away.THIS compressor sounds like a large installed compressor in a shop, the sound is muffled as it pumps air into the tire. The air guage monitors the PSI in the tire as it pumps up.This compressor had NO problem pumping up the tire in about 8 minutes. The compressor ran fine, and it had no problem pumping up that tire where my other compressors would be getting hot and struggling to pump the tire pressure up. The sound from the cheap compressors would be very loud where, again, this compressor is very low key, sounds substantial, well built.Filled the tire and took it to a shop where they promptly found a 1/4 inch bolt in the treads. The Tire was repaired and I was on my way. This pump saved the day.Thee is a LED light tdhat you can switch on to help see what you are doing.I RECOMEND THIS COMPRESSOR indeed.I do not know the seller nor did I receive any money or product for my random review230315 1250

It will do what it is advertised to do
I have a 3/4 Ton Truck and Dump Trailer, when I bought this tire inflater I ask if it would pump tires up to 65lb.Today I tried it out and I can say yes it will pump tires up to 65lbs, I ran over a board with a spike nail and had a flat on my Dump Trailer, I plugged the tire and pumped the tire up in a little over 10 minutes to 65lbs the amazing thing was I had about a Ton and a half of weight on the trailer and didn't jack it up any.The pump didn't struggle and didn't get hot, I hooked it directly to the Dump Trailer Battery. If you are looking for a pump to fill Truck or Trailer tires this one will work, I highly recommend it, it more than paid for itself with my first time using it.

Incredible!
This tire inflator is a power house. Almost unbelievable! I've been struggling with past inflators (I live "off grid" on 20 acres of forest) and my equipment is all the help I get. Anyhow, it inflates my truck and heavy trailer tires extremely well. I power it with a small Ecoflow power box. Although, a car or truck battery works too. Thank you. PRO's : reasonable price, fast shipping, up to150 psi, lots of attachments, very handy case, long cord. CON's: none that I have found.

Don't use with your cigarette lighter UNLESS it's 25-amp; use the battery attachment cord instead!
Tire Inflator Air Compressor, 150PSI 12V DC Double Cylinders Heavy Duty Portable Air Pump, $50:ATTENTION: don't use with your cigarette lighter UNLESS it's a 25-amp; use the battery attachment cord instead!A solid, strong unit with a considerate set of attachments and a sensible accessory bag.Returned since my lighter is 10-amps and I don't want to have to pop the hood and mess with the battery every time a tire is low. If you don't mind that, it's good value for the money.

Well built, functional pump
Purchased to keep in my daily driver just in case and it works flawlessly. I had to extend the power plug cable so that it could reach all the way around my truck while being plugged into the battery with the provided gator clips, but that's simple enough for anyone worth their salt to do. It's not very loud, it pumps air reasonable quick. Overall, I recommend this product for safety in any vehicle if caught on the road with a flat.

The pump failed to reach the advertised 70L/min inflation rate
I bought this pump to inflate my SUP, so I need for it to be able to reach the advertised 70L/min air flow inflation rate. Unfortunately the pump never reached the advertised 70L/min inflation rate.I tested the inflation rate of this pump inflating a 10 gallon (37.8 Liter) trash bag, and I timed on an iphone the duration it took to inflate the bag from empty to full.In the first scenario (seen in my photos), I connected the pump to a cigarette lighter on my power bank that limits its output to 10A of electrical current (total 120W of power). In this scenario the pump took 53 seconds to inflate my 37.8 liter trash bag. This shows an airflow rate of 42.8 L/min.In the second scenario, I connected the pump directly to my car battery while my engine was running. This is supposed to be the full-power mode where the pump should be able to hit the advertised air flow rate of 70L/min. In this scenario the pump took 41 seconds to inflate my 37.8 liter trash bag. This is an improvement, but it is still not the advertised flow rate. This mode showed an air flow rate of 55.3 L/min.In order for the test to prove a minimum of 70L/min using the 10 gallon bag, the inflation should have completed in less than 32.4 seconds. I am disappointed that the pump which I received failed to hit its advertised flow rate.
