Inconsistent baking
We are on our third order of these bagels. We can't find them in stores, Panera, etc., so I found them here. Our first order they were slightly under baked and not sliced, but with toasting they were fine. Our second order they were even more under baked, but sliced. Toasting them for a long time helped. This order, they are properly baked but not sliced. So the quality control is haywire, but if you are a sesame bagel junkie these will do the job.

Bagels taste great, but, some had burned tops and none were precut which in my last order they were

Wonder Bread
I grew up in NJ. I know bagels. These were not good. Texture like Wonder Bread and just as tasteless. I did my best though 6. The rest made the trash can.

Fresh, great taste even after freezing
I can't get sesame bagels in my rural area, so I tried Amazon. Elie's did not disappoint. The packs of 4 are perfect, they do not go stale. I froze the others and they maintain their texture and taste after thawing. I'm not a bagel connoisseur but I'm now a repeat customer, so that says something. Great with anything I put on it. Five stars.

One weird bagel.
Strangest bagel we've ever had. Difficult to believe it's boiled and baked. Not even close to a NYC style bagel. Quite gummy, crust is same texture as white bread. Toasting doesn't even help. As a former disciple of the old H & H, when it was on upper Broadway, I think I know what a proper boiled and baked bagel should be like. This ain't it.
