Perfect for car windscreen scratches. Got mine out in 15 minutes.

I bought this to try to remove a scratch on my cars window.. it didnt work at all.. However it did remove a nasty scratch on my smartwatch so it was worth it for that reason, and that reason only.

"Does what it says on the tin". Good value and removed small scratches from my glass table. Don't expect too much - deep scratches can't be removed.

Product came without any instructions, no idea which bit to use first or how to apply, how much to apply, how long to apply for. Complete guess so I'm not using it incase I do it wrong and damage my car window, not even sure if it is safe for the edges of the window in reference to touching the paintwork.

Anybody who says this doesn't work hasn't a clue how to use it. Mix a small amount of powder in a small dish. Put the flat pad in a mixing drill (low speed but high torque). Make sure window is spotless clean. Dip flat pad attached to drill in the powder and spin rotate it with trigger a few times. Apply flat pad to window. Rotate drill with trigger and rotate the pad manually so you don't stay in the same place at all. Keep it moving. Then work up and down the scratch and around the area to blend it all in. Not very fast. But applying a decent push of pressure to it as you work it. Keep going until it dissopears. Which it does. You can mark the inside of the window with tape where the scratch is so you don't lose where your at. You can also spray the glass with a spray bottle of clean water to help reactivate if it dries out. The powder should resemble a toothpaste consistency and if it goes everywhere your doing something seriously wrong or spinning the drill too fast. The scratches I removed were deep from a metal object scratching the window several times in different direction. This works fantastically just prepare and do it correctly.

So iv read mixed reviews and let me tell you that this 100% works, however you have to know what you are doing. Putting it on with a cloth and rubbing will make zero difference. It’s takes some serious graft to buff out scratched. I had a 6 inch scratch which I could feel with my nail on the windscreen. It took me several coats and 4 batteries in the drill for the finished article. The scratch is completely gone. It’s takes some serious buffing because you are buffing hardened glass. So bare this is mind. This is not a ten minute job and you will need about 1-2 hours to get a scratch gone. The negative reviews are mostly down to people who have no clue to get rid of scratches.

The reviews for this product are very mixed so I made sure I followed the instructions - I wanted to remove some medium scratches from the inside a car windscreen. I was not successful. I agree with those who said it is messy and this can only be reduced rather than eliminated by getting a paste that is not too wet but not too dry. I used a powerful DeWalt cordless drill for about an hour. The was no discernible reduction in the scratch. It might work for other applications or when the scratches are very light - but if they were lighter, I’m not sure I’d bother trying to get rid of them. Overall. Not a product I would recommend.

Das Set aus den Werkzeugen, Pads und dem Ceroxidpulver funktioniert einwandfrei und ist ein Schnäppchen! Teuere Polierpasten polieren auch nicht besser/schneller als eine selbst angerührte Schlempe aus diesem Ceroxidpulver und Wasser. Selbstverständlich muss man, wenn man ein so hartes Material wie Glas polieren will, viel Geduld haben, d.h. viel Zeit einplanen. ACHTUNG: An meiner 1. kleinen Glasscheibe von 8 x 8 cm war ich zu ungeduldig und grob mit der Ständerbohrmaschine. Ich habe mit zu viel Drehzahl und vor allem zu viel Druck poliert und nicht ständig Wasser nachgekippt. Dadurch ist das Glas an einer Stelle (zu) heiß geworden und bekam einen Spannungsriss. Ja, das war "Lehrgeld" und natürlich selbst schuld, da kann das gelieferte Set nichts dafür. Bei meiner 2. und 3. verkratzen Glasscheibe habe ich mit weniger Druck gearbeitet und ständig das verdampfte Wasser zum Ceroxid wieder dazu gegeben und dann hat es ohne Risse geklappt und ich habe alle Kratzer raus bekommen, die Glasscheiben sind wie neu. Also, immer schön feucht halten und nicht auf der Stelle polieren. Das Glas darf nicht stellenweise heiß werden. Geduld mitbringen, dann gehen die Kratzer laaaaaangsam aus dem Glas raus. Klar braucht man für tiefere Kratzer sehr lange. Von Hand (ohne Maschine) bekommt man wirklich nur einige wenige cm² in einer Stunde kratzerfrei poiert. Mit einer Ständerbohrmaschine bekommt man aus so kleinen Glasflächen in 10 Minuten Kratzer raus. Nach meinen gemachten Erfahrungen würde ich für eine Frontscheibe mit vielen Kratzern einen vollen Tag Arbeit einplanen und mir dazu eine vernünftige Maschine holen. Wem das zu viel Aufwand ist, der muss wohl oder übel mit den Kratzern leben oder sich vielleicht gleich eine neue Frontscheibe einbauen lassen. TIPP: Die Ceroxidschlempe wird ab einer gewissen Drehzahl vom Pad nach außern abgeschleudert . . . Richtung T-Shirt und Werkstattwand. Ich habe deshalb meine kleinen Glasscheiben in einem Schuhkarton liegend poliert, so ist das abgeschleuderte Ceroxid auf der Kartonwand und nicht der Werkstattwand gelandet.

Ich habe dieses Produkt als Test für meinen Mercedes W202 gekauft, da die Frontscheibe im Sichtfeld durch die Bewegung des Scheibenwischers stark verkratzt war. Wer den Mercedes kennt, weiß, dass der Einarm-Scheibenwischer eine typische Auf- und Abwärtsbewegung ausführt. Der Vorbesitzer hat anscheinend das Wischergummi nicht rechtzeitig ausgetauscht, sodass sich über die Zeit genau im Sichtfeld störende Kratzer gebildet haben. Eine Anfrage bei A.T.U ergab, dass der Austausch der Scheibe mich 1.500 € gekostet hätte. Für dieses ältere Fahrzeug ist eine Teilkaskoversicherung nicht möglich, weshalb ich nach Alternativen gesucht habe, um die Scheibe wieder in einen optimalen Zustand zu bringen. Ich habe mich für dieses Poliermittel entschieden und es an einem Freitagabend für ca. 45 Minuten ausgetobt. Die Anwendung war zwar arbeitsintensiv, aber das Ergebnis hat mich absolut überzeugt. Die Anwendung ist schon eine kleine „Sauerei“ Das Resultat: Die Frontscheibe sieht aus wie neu! Viele der Kratzer, insbesondere die störenden Schlieren im Sichtfeld, sind vollständig verschwunden. Selbst tiefe Steinschläge sind deutlich weniger sichtbar geworden. Das Produkt wird als Komplettset mit allem nötigen Zubehör geliefert und ist einfach anzuwenden. Angesichts der hohen Kosten für einen Austausch der Scheibe ist diese Lösung unschlagbar und absolut empfehlenswert. Ich würde das Produkt jedem weiterempfehlen, der ähnliche Probleme hat.

The cerium oxide powder (pink color) is not effective. I ordered per Ebay (Treo 99,5% white color). The adapters fits correctly to my tools. Fast service.

Ich wollte damit leichte Kratzer aus meiner Balkontür entfernen. Paste nach Anleitung angemischt und mit Akkubohmaschine schön gleichmässig aufgetragen. An den Stellen wo die Kratzer am schlimmsten sind habe ich extra lange poliert. Eine riesen Schweinerei hat es gebracht und sonst nichts. Null Verbesserung an den Kratzern. Dafür 30min putzen weil rings herum alles verspritzt war und das Zeug hartnäckig ist ohne Ende. Jetzt gibts halt doch eine neue Scheibe. Die Mühe und Geld kann man sich echt sparen....
