I used this to waterproof a summer gazebo canvas. Worked very well. I will probably reapply each year, but the spray is easy to use and worth the extra effort

Buy something else this is not a good waterproofing product not even in light rain.

I have used many DWR sprays and wash in treatments to keep my outdoors gear from wetting out. For my money, Mountval spray does the job better than many others with brand approval and up to twice the price. I clean my garments with a good technical wash (Grangers), then spray thoroughly and evenly with Mountval when still damp. Allow to sink in, then respray vulnerable areas and those prone to abrasion. Allow to air dry, then tumble dry on a medium (synthetic) cycle for 45 minutes to an hour. If done properly your Gore Tex clothes should have that crinkly, almost waxy quality they have when new. No other product I've come across yet brings my waterproofs back up to such a high standard. But, as other customers have pointed out, this does come at a price... despite its green credentials, Mountval spray does have a very heavy chemical fragrance, and must be used in a well-ventilated area. I spray in the bathroom and leave to hang over my tub with a window wide open. Even so, the (not unpleasant) smell lingers for days after use. In my opinion it's a small price to pay for an excellent result, but others might well disagree!

Good and Dus the job

It seems to have water proofed my coat ok, but it hasn’t poured down yet! You have to pump the bottles quite a lot! Smells really good!

My raincoat had been washed so many times that any water repellent was long gone. I sprayed my coat and my shoes and stayed dry in the pouring rain while sightseeing on vacation.

Dit middel zorgt dat kleding waterproof wordt en niet waterdicht. Bij druppeltjes regen werkt het wel goed. Maar niet bij motregen of normale nederlandse regenbui.
