Toslink to Mini Toslink Cable Optical Audio Cable for Soundbar.Attention:Cannot Convert Analog Signals to Digital,Not A 3.5mm AUX Plug (3feet/1M)

The perfect item I was looking for. I have an older Vizio TV and recently bought a soundbar but found the included optical cord was not compatible with my tv so I did a little research and found this. I'm glad I did. Physical installation is a breeze. Just plug the unit into the appropriate ports on your tv an soundbar. Once done the actual connection is based on one's particular model tv. It took me about 5 minutes of tinkering with my tv's audio settings but once I got it right everything worked like a champ.

The cable looks great and once you find its sweet spot in my IFI DAC it works well. But the 3.5mm connector does not fully insert (see picture) into the optical connection because it hits a fat part of the rubber. And if you push it in as far as it will go then there is no sound. If you roll it around in the socket you can get sound 99% of the time but you get weird cut outs randomly for just fractions of a second. But if I pull it out a half mm the. I get clear and continuous sound. But that means that every time I touch a cable I will be facing inconsistent transmission. Bottom line is that it just does not fit right and that leads to it not working consistently.

seems to be among the better made cables. there's a slew of tech cables offered with too many of sketchy quality. Not this one.

Great buy. Needed the length and got the result with high quality sound.

Seems durable but did not work but my intended purchase. Have a TV that does not have an fibre optical output nor bluetooth connectivity but all modern day sound bars only have those two option for connection. Thought this cord was the answer, once plugged into the tv audio output and fibre optic into the sound bar, showed a green light on the sound bar to indicate it was connected but no sound would come out. Tv was switched to external speaker setting and when I increase/decrease the volume a picture also showed it was using the audio output but no sound.
