I've been using a dinosaur of a laptop for several years and have done a lot of research to replace it. I almost purchased a another model that was about 1.5x's the cost with less performance. I'm glad I ran across this system from PConline!In one of the product photos, you can see an actual finger print scanner next to the pad but I assure you these DO NOT come with it. It was kind of a bummer but not a deal breaker. I reached out to the seller about it and they were very responsive which led to great customer service content.Everything functions perfectly and it's quick. With the 17" monitor, Intel Core i7 & 64GB of RAM, it has plenty of power to do my 3D rendering for hobbyist CNC work and more. And at this price point (a little over $1,100) it would be hard to beat! Local electronic stores have this laptop with 16GB RAM, 512GB storage for $1,299. I'm actually mind blown, people.I can't comment much on the battery performance since I've only been using it for a couple of weeks but its' a powerful laptop so I'm not going to get my hopes up. Nonetheless, I'm always home with it and outlets are in abundance.Highly recommend this product and highly recommend purchasing from PConline!

Fast computer with plenty of memory. Money well spent. Keeping it under a thousand to make videos.You will not receive a hardcopy instruction manual. Pretty much the norm but expected at least a cheat sheet, but no.Very light. Under 5 pounds.The power button is on the F Key row, left of the Delete key button (not standalone). Backlit keys on/off button is F4.Easy setup. You do need your Microsoft account information if you have one from a previous computer. Wi-Fi password.After HP was done with all its updates, I visited Windows Update and had another 30 minutes of updates. Had to do it twice. I checked 24hrs later and no new updates.I turned off syncing and anything to do with the cloud. I did increase screen brightness. I think it was set at 80%.Deleted two virus programs. One was installed (McAfee), the second was an option. I use my own. Went through the APPS list and deleted what I have no use for. Easy enough to find them on the Web if needed.Good quality sound can fill a room.Never had touch screen. Works very well. I can see where if you had a number of projects going on it eases moving around the screen.Unless having the screen tilted back far enough the screen can looked washed out. Key letters/numbers don't stand out without the backlit option. Very light lettering.Three USB. One is a C. The USB memory stick I was reading downloaded photos/video superfast. If you plug in a number of items at one time you might want to go blue tooth mouse.Going through HP setup and it gave me an option to use a fingerprint to access the computer. Didn't see that as an included item? When I opened the box, I saw a small square to the right of the touch screen. Turns out it was the reader. One more time, did not expect the fingerprint option.Don't assume what's included. No CD player. No memory card reader. Both can be purchased and used via USB. Portable CD player & USB memory card reader. Not very expensive. Already had both. The C is supposed to be 5Gbps and that's the way I'd go if buying new.Used it on battery for an hour and no issues. Laptop is used in two locations. Purchased a second power setup for $10 on Amazon.

Purchased this Laptop in May 2023 because I have always purchased HP Computers because I thought they were the best Desktops and Laptop. Just started using this laptop in May/June 2024 when My old HP laptop final died. I am sorry to say it, but this is the worst laptop I have ever purchased. First of all I had to search for about 5 mins to figure out how to turn it on because the on/off key is the 15th key on the top row. Had to put something on the top of it so I could find it every day without having to search for it. Laptop overheats on the right side of it, gets red hot and also at least twice a day it get a blue screen right in the middle of working on it, and it shuts down and shuts off so fast you cannot read why it is shutting down. Now maybe I just got a bad laptop, but I do not recommend purchasing this laptop if it is still on the market. Also the reason I did not use it when I first purchased it was because everytime I typed a paragraph and then looked up to see if I had any errors, the whole paragraph consisted of the first letter that I typed as a run-on for the whole paragraph. I got so upset with the laptop I just put it away and would not use it until now. So sorry I had to give this HP a bad review but I have to be truthful.

I was new to Windows 11, so I didn't even know how to turn this laptop on, and I almost returned it. I did some research on the web and once I figured it out, set it up. I'm totally amazed at the speed! This is a great price for such a remarkable HP computer. It's speedy fast with 64 GB of RAM, 2 TB of hard drive space, touch screen, lighted keyboard, Pen Touch support with 10 touch points, and too many features to mention here. The newer laptops don't have a built in CD/DVD player, so I purchased a portable with a USB plug in case I need it. Flash drives hold more data, and great to use too. It only has 1 USB port, so I purchased a USB hub with 7 USB plugs. This HP is the best!

Laptop is great but the battery won't hold a charge. Also, manufacturers warranty expires in 7 months rather than the full warranty from HP.

Touch pad takes a little getting used to. Back to mouse All other features great.
