Good heavy duty Maglock
This piece of kit really is heavy duty and solid throughout. Its holding force of over 500kg enables peace of mind in your security set up. It has the flexibility to be activated with proximity readers, keypads, remote controlled systems or basic push button switches (not supplied). When the power supply is cut, the Maglock is in an unlocked state. It operates within 12 - 24Vdc. It also conforms to IP67 weatherproofing and has all the necessary guides and fixings for installation. Normally I would use my own fixings as a matter of course but these do not look that bad and if you source your own, when countersunk they need to be flush and not protruding at all.The only let down for me is the lack of guidance for installation and guidance over 12Vdc installation in general but a competent DIY should be able to install this with plenty of online guides and videos available. If unsure at all, always get in a competent tradesperson to do the job. Fitting/alignment is crucial with these so seek out how to get the best exact alignment for your installation.

Heavy Duty, well built
Very impressed by the build. I have had to install several maglocks over the years. This feels solid, good build and comes with good brackets and fittings.

Reliable Outdoor Security
Pros:High Holding Force: With a strong holding force of 545 kg, this maglock offers robust security, making it highly effective for preventing unauthorized access.Weatherproof (IP67 Rated): The IP67 rating ensures the maglock is protected against dust and can withstand temporary submersion in water, making it suitable for harsh outdoor environments.Fail Safe Operation: The fail-safe feature allows the lock to release when power is lost, enhancing safety by enabling quick exits during emergencies.Includes Z&L Fixing Bracket: The Z&L bracket simplifies installation, especially on doors and gates where alignment might be challenging, and provides additional support for a secure fit.Outdoor Durability: Designed for external use, this maglock can handle various weather conditions without compromising its functionality.Cons:Power Dependency: The fail-safe nature of the maglock means it relies on a constant power supply to remain locked. In case of a power outage, the lock will automatically release, which might pose a security risk.Installation Complexity: Installing a maglock with a Z&L bracket can be more complex compared to simpler locks, potentially requiring professional installation to ensure proper alignment and operation.Corrosion Risk: While weatherproof, long-term exposure to extreme conditions, such as saltwater or heavy industrial environments, could lead to wear or corrosion if maintenance is not regularly performed.Aesthetic Considerations: The size and design of the maglock and bracket may be visually intrusive, which might not be ideal for all settings or architectural styles.Cost: Maglocks, particularly those with high holding forces and weatherproof features, can be more expensive than traditional locking mechanisms, which might be a consideration for budget-conscious projects.
