I thought it would give me more history of the countries I will be visiting. It was more a travel guide of what to do and what not to do Interesting but not what I expected

This book is short and extremely vague. The content is largely self explanatory and could apply to any country in south america. If you are looking for a travel guide with images and recommendations to help plan your trip, this is NOT the one. For instance the section on food tells you that Peru has delicious and varied food, with no suggestions of what specific dishes to eat or which restaurants to seek out! I didn't even bother taking it on my trip.

Not a travel guide at all. Just ones man’s random thoughts on Peru. Waste of money sadly.

I enjoyed reading all about Peru. It felt like I was being given the inside scoop by a good friend. I had no idea that Peruvian food was so varied, or that there were great surfing beaches there!!Makes me want to pack up and go straight away!
