This is the second book that I have bought by Dylane Moreau and I am not disappointed. The lessons are supported by YouTube videos, listening exercises and audio transcripts to practice pronunciation. I’m finding the book incredibly useful but feel that I will need to repeat many of the lessons several times to really embed the principles in my mind. It’s ideal if you have experienced those moments when you know the words in French but the recipient you are speaking to still looks blankly at you for several seconds before the coin drops and they get what you are saying 😀. It’s pronunciation skills and not grammar that I want and why I purchased this book.

Very clear easy to use and has made my learning journey fun again after I was struggling. with other teaching platforms due to my learning style.

I have been learning French for a while and I use different resources to learn along side lessons, as I cannot afford weekly lessons so I am always on the look out for great resources to elevate my learning, I found Dylane and have been using her free resources and was a little worried that this course might be a little basic but I couldn’t have been more wrong! I am only up to lesson 6 but I didn’t need to wait any longer to leave a review as I’ve already learned so much! Dylane explains things that I haven’t learned before, things that seem so simple once it’s been pointed it, I wouldn’t class myself as a beginner and I have not been disappointed by the useful and well thought out content that Dylane has provided. The book is a perfect complement to the video lessons which are free. Breaks everything down into simple chunks. Her teaching style suits my type of learning. Solid fundamentals and most importantly, you can see that she loves to impart knowledge,. I have learnt so much in such a short time. A lot of vocabulary is used in the various examples and exercises thus I am killing two birds with one stone. You cannot go wrong with this purchase. Merci Madame.

An amazing book that helps to break down each individual French sound. What elevates this book above other French textbooks is the accompanying free audios files and the YouTube playlist where Dylane presents each lesson with enthusiasm and humour to make learning French fun. As each sound is given it’s own chapter/lesson you can easily go back to any lesson again and again, if you need a refresher on any specific words or sounds you are struggling with.

When learning French, it's important to learn the alphabet, sounds and pronounciation of words before launching into the rest of the language. Because Dylane offers free videos and lessons on YouTube, that I accessed over and over, my pronounciation improved and ability to read and write the language better because I can hear the sounds within words. It's well laid out with plenty of examples and exercises.

I love my purchase of this book, very helpful & informative.

A very good and educational book, like all Dylan's others. I can highly recommend it. The only bad thing is that it's not possible to download the file where she recorded the pronunciations, it's via some new nonsense from Google called Dropbox, I gave up after 3 hours. Eric in Burgundy

Outstanding book. Exactly what I need and was hoping for. Must-have member of "The Complete French Course - Pronunciation, Conjugation, Grammar, Vocabulary, Expressions. I started with only the Grammar book, but soon realized that I needed to use the free Study Guide for 2025 & 2026 to integrate all 5 of the books into a concurrent study schedule. I really wish I had had this series (equivalent) for teaching myself to read and write Spanish fluently years ago. Book + Video + Audio + Study Guide = Success.

You can practice various pronunciation of the letters with the Youtube videos. The author explains well and it was fun to watch her videos! However, in my opinion, there were lack of exercises in the book, I purchased this book hoping to have more access to study materials, apart from Youtube videos, like more reading exercises or short phrases with the audios etc). There were 1~2 exercises, but I feel it's not enough in my opinion. I think that you can study pronunciation without purchasing this book, by watching her Youtube videos. (that's just my opinion).
