It works!!
I was very nervous buying this trim, thinking that my carpet is thicker than 5mm, and it wouldn't stickto the floor.... I was wrong! This trim is STICKY!! A project we've put off for 5 years in the basement is finally done!! I cleaned the vinyl floor with alcohol, let it dry, and started sticking! Went over the carpet perfectly, and stayed down immediately! Wish I had found this years ago!

Transverse
This item make transition between floor level easier. Only issue was the adhesion used was not quite strong enough.

Use a hairdryer
The concept is fantastic! I had read in a previous review to heat the adhesive up with a hairdryer while laying the strip. Unfortunately, the ends don’t stay adhered to the ground. I am going to have to add additional adhesive.

Easy to put down, holds tight, great color
After receiving quotes from a local carpet company to replace the strip between the kitchen and living-room for $350+ dollars, we decided to give this a try. We are so happy with it!First we took up the old strip that was nailed down. Then, we cleaned the floor with rubbing alcohol to get up any dirt. Let it dry, Then cut the 20ft strip to size (about 14 feet). Then started pulling the paper off the adhesive, a little bit at a time, heating the adhesive with a hot hair blow dryer and putting it down in a straight line, in about about 12 -18 inch sections. The adhesive strip held tight! It has been about 3 weeks since putting it down and it still looks great! We used the gray wood color! It ended up costing us about $30 instead of $350+.
