My heavy metal ironing board of many years finally gave up the ghost. It got harder and harder to unfold/fold, finally getting stuck in the open position. That made it difficult to store in a closet. On to Amazon to search for a replacement. This one appeared to be a good buy, so it went into the cart. When it arrived in its shipping box, I was surprised as how light it appeared to be. Out of the box, it was much smaller and lighter than the older one. That had me wondering how sturdy it is. First, it fit into the closet storage space with room to spare. Great! Using it for the first time was an excellent experience. Unfolding/folding was a snap! The mechanism is very easy to use; and, as you unfold, there are several choices in height. Fully open, it comes up to my waist, making for a comfortable ironing position. It is built sturdy enough to alleviate any concern that it might easily tip over in use. The iron holder on the end is something new to me. I am used to standing the iron when not in use and, so far, I still do. I'll likely get around to using the holder, because by doing so I remove any opportunity of touching the very hot ironing face. In addition, the included board cover seems to be of good quality. All in all, a very nice package at a reasonable price.

Good ironing board. The mechanism to open and close the board is metal and feels solid during operation. The ironing board feels stable and although it’s not as long as my previous board, it handles what I need it to do just fine. Nice touch in the iron holder.

Although it may appear to be merely an ironing board, I am satisfied with my selection. After dedicating approximately one hour to evaluating various options on Amazon and meticulously analyzing customer reviews, I ultimately chose this model, which has substantially surpassed my expectations. Upon unfolding the board, the legs effortlessly glide into position, providing a robust and reliable foundation. The level of stability is remarkable, rendering the ironing process considerably more manageable. The surface of the board is adequately cushioned, enabling my iron to move smoothly across the fabric, thus transforming the task from a routine chore into a remarkably gratifying experience. This ironing board has truly enhanced the efficiency and enjoyment of an otherwise mundane household duty.

I've been searching for an ironing board for our RV. This one is perfect for a small space. This board is light enough for me to hang by the strong hook that is attached to the frame. The board is of ample width and length to provide a very satisfactory surface on which to iron. The pad's cover design is beautiful. It is a pleasure to look at while ironing. My iron glides smoothly over this surface. The cover holds snuggly to the board without the need for cover clips. There are 3 layers of thick padding beneath the cover which are more than adequate. They help provide a smooth surface for ironing and distribute the iron's heat well. The mesh screen beneath the board releases heat and steam. I have found that it takes less time for me to iron due to the above. The legs are stable, sturdy, do not wobble and have an effective locking mechanism. They open and close smoothly without a disturbing ratcheting sound. The feet are securely capped, protecting my floors. Even without the consideration of needs for a small space this board is a perfect purchase. It is more than adequate and I will be purchasing another one for my home. I expect to have many years of use from it due to the quality construction and easy of use. I'm even considering giving this as a gift to my daughters. Anything that takes the work and drudgery out of ironing is a gift worth giving. I highly recommend this product.

I have a fantastic ironing board made by Reliable. It is very long, adjusts to very tall, has a piece that provides a squared off end, closes magnetically, has a sturdy platform that holds my steam generator, and is rock steady. It is also huge. In addition to using it to iron, I also use it to fold laundry. I mainly only iron my sheets, so I don't iron every time I do laundry. I was looking for something compact that I could use to fold my regular laundry, that would take less space, hang on the rod in the closet, and be less heavy to lug around. This one was one of the few that didn't have an attached iron rest, and was tall enough that I wouldn't have to bend over when folding, so I ordered it. It is okay for my purposes, which is to fold some clothes, stack them off to the side, then go put them away and repeat with the next batch of clothes. It is light, hangs well in the closet, and takes up WAY less floor real estate than my good ironing board. I wouldn't want to use this for ironing, though. The lightness that allows me to hang it on the rod, and easily move it around, means that it is less steady than my good board. It is pretty easy to make it wobble. I think ironing would involve holding the board steady with one hand while ironing with the other, or maybe bracing the board against your body, and only ironing toward yourself - mind the steam! I also think it is overpriced for what it is. It was one of the less expensive compact boards, but still is not worth the cost. I once got a $30 ironing board at a big box store for $3 due to an mis-ring that I didn't notice until later, and that board was more stable than this one. You can get a much better board for less money than this one if you are okay with a full size board. If you need the compact size, I would consider spending a bit more money, or looking at a wall hanging fold-away before buying this one, as you can do better for your money. I don't hate it, and it isn't the worst ironing board I have ever used, but it is FAR from the best.
