EXCELLENT PRODUCT AT A REASONABLE PRICE
Installation of the front camera, rear camera and hardwire kit in a RAM 3500 crew cab pickup took about 3 hours. All of the supplied cables were more than long enough to use in a vehicle that size. Getting the cameras up and running after installation was really straightforward. The picture quality, day and night, is excellent and I would buy the 70mai A800S again. That said, nothing is perfect and so I found things that need to be improved. #1 on the improvement list is the setup instructions. During setup the user is given several options. For instance, options for video length and options for how long the camera stays on when you exit the vehicle, however, the instructions give no information to help the user decide why you may want to choose one option over another for your particular situation/needs. #2 on the improvement list is the 70mai app. The app does allow you to connect to the A800S internal WiFi and it does a good job of allowing you to view video saved on the SD card. The issue I have with the app is that it takes way too many keystrokes to be able to view a saved video. It seems that every user command input simply brings up another warning window that the user has to clear to finally arrive at being able to view the saved video. A little information about video playback. On my first attempts to view recorded video from the SD card, both on my iPhone XR and on my laptop, the video quality was lacking. The video had a somewhat 'liquid' look to it, a sort of motion blur. The quality was good enough to show what happened leading to a traffic incident, but impossible to get any detail like a license plate number or road signs. I replaced the SD card with no improvement so I actually thought the camera was defective and requested a replacement from Amazon. Before the replacement arrived I found the answer to getting clean, crisp video from the SD card. I downloaded a VLC media player to my laptop and when I played the saved SD card camera video using the VLC player, BINGO, clear crisp HD video! I have now purchased a Lightning to SD card reader from Apple (about $30 on Amazon) and downloaded the VLC media player to my iPhone and iPad. If I want or need to view clear, crisp HD video I simply remove the SD card from the camera, insert in into the Apple card reader and play it through the VLC player on the phone or iPad.

Amazing product and easy installation
Hey thereSo, I've been using this 70mai 4K Dash Cam Front and Rear with STARVIS, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer for my daily drives. First off, the video quality is insane. The front camera shoots in 4K, and it's like having a mini movie studio strapped to your windshield. I can literally count the leaves on trees as I drive by. And at night? It's like the camera has night vision or something. Super clear, even when it's pitch black outside. The rear camera isn't quite as fancy, but it still does the job. It's like having eyes in the back of your head, you know? Now, I'm not exactly a tech wizard, but even I found it easy to set up and use. The app is pretty straightforward, and the screen on the camera itself is big enough that I don't need my reading glasses to see what's going on. Oh, and get this - it's got this cool parking mode. I parked in a sketchy area the other day, and it actually caught some guy eyeing my car. Nothing happened, but it was reassuring to know I had video evidence just in case. The best part it super affordable. I've seen dash cams that cost way more and don't even come close to this quality. Bottom line, if you're in the market for a dash cam, do yourself a favor and check this one out. It's like having a personal security guard for your car, minus the attitude and coffee breaks. Trust me, you won't regret it!

Great quality, great value, captures license plates even at night!
This dash cam is an amazing value. In analyzing front dash cam video taken at night (in light rain!), on a dark, country backroad, it was able to capture the front license plates of oncoming vehicles clearly enough to read! The camera functionality and quality are superb. No problems connecting to my iPhone, and downloads are quick. Rear camera is just okay, but it's definitely good enough, especially at this price point, under a hundred bucks! Makes it very affordable -- I bought 3 for all the family vehicles! See the sample screen shot under the most difficult conditions: night, dark, rainy (I obscured half of the plate for privacy)

Very good for the price.
Very good product for the price. The 4K claim seems ambitious, but overall the quality is good day and night. The only minor complaint is the crash sensitivity is very low and if you go over a bump it saves the recording in a protective area thinking it was an incident. This can be adjusted, but out of the box it’s a little sensitive. Installation was easy. There’s enough wire to install the rear facing camera without issue even in a large SUV. Downloading snippets a video takes a while. A one minute clip could take 30 to 45 seconds to transfer to the phone not a dealbreaker as it is something I don’t do that often. For what you get at this price I have recommended it to others.

Capturing life's bumps and bruises. Great dashcam, some wires exposed when installed
Hey there fellow road warriors and potential future dashcam enthusiasts! I'm cruising through with a review of the 70mai dashcam. Buckle up, because we're about to take a joyride through the highs and lows of this nifty little gadget. First let's talk features. This bad boy boasts not one, but two cameras – one for the front and one for the rear. It's like having eyes in the back of your head, without the creepy neck craning. Plus, the video quality is top-notch, so you can catch every glorious moment of your road trip adventures, or the occasional fender bender (fingers crossed for the former). But hold on to your hats, folks, because here comes the kicker: the Emergency Mode. Now, I'm all for safety features, but this one seems to have a mind of its own. It's like having a paranoid passenger constantly yelling "we're under attack!" at the slightest pothole. Seriously, I've never seen a camera jump to conclusions faster than my grandma during bingo night. Thankfully, a few tweaks to the sensitivity settings can dial down the drama. But without shutting the feature off, it still happens too often. Now, let's talk convenience. When you're parked, you can play director with your own personal movie screening thanks to the built-in screen. And if you're feeling extra fancy, whip out your phone and access the footage via the app (that's how you save the footage). Just a heads up though – Big Brother is always watching (and listening), so mind your Ps and Qs, especially when belting out those car karaoke classics. Installation-wise, let's just say the directions in the box were about as clear as mud on a rainy day. But fear not, my friends, because YouTube came to the rescue. A quick search and I found an unboxing video that walked me through the setup process faster than you can say "subscribe and smash that like button." Now, here's where things get a bit tangled – literally. Depending on how you route the wires, you might find yourself playing footsie with them more often than you'd like. It's like navigating a spaghetti noodle through your car from one end to the other, with your toes as the unwitting participants. But hey, a small price to pay for peace of mind on the open road. And last but certainly not least, let's talk moolah. The price tag on this bad boy is a steal, especially considering the high-quality video and audio you're getting in return. So go ahead, treat yourself to a little extra insurance against life's unexpected twists and turns. In conclusion, the 70mai dashcam is like the trusty sidekick you never knew you needed – always there to capture life's bumps and bruises (and maybe a few chuckles along the way). Just remember to drive safe and buckle up, my friends. Happy trails!

Easy to install and good quality.
So far this dashcam works great. I also use it as a back up camera. Yes button makes it easy to switch from front to back camera.

Best dash cam for the price, with minor setup frustrations
Let me start off by saying that for the price, I love this dash cam. The video quality is awesome, even at night. I do most of my driving in the dark because of the hours I work at my job so even seeing some reviews saying the night video quality wasn’t the best, I disagree. Installation was straight forward. Clean your glass, stick it up there and hide the wires. It even comes with a small plastic crowbar to hide the wires with. It’s small so it doesn’t take up space on the windshield or the back window of my truck for the rear camera (which is about the size of my thumb) and the app is also pretty straight forward and easy to use once it’s set up. Now the gripes: the sensor that detects sudden motion is way too sensitive. It spends half of my drives in emergency recording mode because I hit a pothole or crossed over railroad tracks and it thinks I biffed it into something. And my truck has an extremely smooth ride for a pickup, which is something. The instructions were frustratingly vague and don’t cover half of what they should (i.e. how to navigate menus and set it up initially). The app is similar in getting it set up because it continually mentions bluetooth when it means wifi. You have to connect your phone to the wifi in the camera for it to set up and it repeatedly says to check the bluetooth connection in the troubleshooting section, which was frustrating because it had me looking for the wrong connection for 20 minutes after a 12 hour shift. So when it says bluetooth, it means wifi - Fair warning. But the app is easy to use once you’re past the setup and you can go back and check all your recordings whenever you want and see a live camera view and play with settings and all the things. Once it’s set up and operational, it functions simply and easily. The menus on the unit are easy to figure out and navigate and it’s user friendly (once you get past the relatively useless instructions). My advice is to use the instructions to get an idea and use common sense for the rest because if you have any common sense at all it’s easy to figure out without any instructions - they’ll just confuse you and slow down your installation and possibly have you muttering light cuss words under your breath. Overall it’s the best value I found, and it works well. I’m happy with it and living in Florida and seeing the way people drive down here (some of the things you see down here are WILD) it’s a solid investment. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Can't be beat for the price
Great dashcam, easy to setup and install. A few days later I downloaded a couple videos from both daytime and evening and was impressed with quality for both day and night recordings. I've owned a few dashcams and this can't be beat for the price.
