My 2009 fob needed replacing because of normal wear and tear. I was able to purchase these replacements for a fraction of the cost the dealer was going to charge me. So far, no problems. Even went to a locksmith to have it programmed, saved EVEN MORE $$

I bought these to replace the original ones on a 2008 Grand Prix. Well, this model requires programming with either a scanner, or a kit available through Dorman products. Anyway, these fobs programmed easily, and work as expected once I procured the Dorman kit (which also came with a fob).

After spending a bunch of money at my dealership to get them programmed, they would set off my panic button randomly.

After reading all product reviews, I decided to buy the two-pack 'set' so that, hopefully, at least one would program. I was correct. After going to the self-program-website listed from the Mfr., It confirmed that for a 2008 Buick LaCrosse CTX; it CANNOT be self-programed. If you have this make and model of vehicle; you WILL have to take ALL of your fobs (old/existing and these new replacement fobs) to an auto dealership, or a qualified locksmith. I chose the locksmith. It was a flat $25 fee. He had to use a computerized tablet with proprietary locksmith software to program the new fob. ONE accepted the code and tested with no issues. The second fob would NOT program. So, Mfr. appears to have a 50% success ratio; (hence them offering a set of two...so that ONE will work for you). Also note that the locksmith made me sign a liability waiver (in case it shut down all car electronics...which has happened) and pay in advance (non-refundable). My total all in cost for a fully functional new fob is: $45 rounded up. This compared to an auto dealership charging you about $150 total instead, per fob, plus waiting for it to arrive from the Factory (if one is even still available for your car/truck). Please also keep in mind that often any older remote (non-working for whatever reason...) will most likely be DISABLED upon being replaced with one or both of the new fobs sold here. These fobs have all of the circuitry board, and new battery pre-installed (contrary to others offered for sale in this marketplace). Please USE the Amazon Auto 'FIT' tool provided to order the proper replacement fob; it will save you some time and headache. So, to conclude, it was a good value for the price. I'm pleased. *Keep your old and other non-functional fobs for spare circuit boards and fob batteries, to pull out of them in the future, ad hoc.

I have a 2012 Chevy Malibu Lt. it programmed and for the most part it works except the double clicking the unlock button doesn’t unlock the other doors like the OEM one does. I will try getting brand new batteries to see if that makes a difference. Otherwise will buy a OEM one come tax time.

Our fobs for this particular car have been through it all, wear and tear had taken over. Was happy to find quality replacements for a reasonable price. The buttons are raised and not flat against the plastic. Would definitely recommend.

I bought a pair of remotes for my 2006 chevy malibu. I have my own scan tool to program remotes. Only one of the remotes would work after being programed.

Great sturdy quality and performs as well as the original. Must have it programmed with the use of a electronic programming device.

ordered 4, 2 converted 2 did not. will return the 2 locksmith could not get to work
