Best KSC75 Mod
Some of the reviews have shown there's been two different models sold off of this page. I bought these around august 2020 sold by amazon, and received the original Parts Express band not the other style some people got.If you don't already know, these headphones are total crap and sound really bad, but people buy them for the head band to use with other headphones -- particularly the Koss KSC-75. So for all intents and purposes I am reviewing only the head band. This headband is the best mod out of any for what are already the best cheap headphones you can get. The biggest flaw to the KSC-75's is that the ear clips start to be uncomfortable for long term extended use. With this head band, they become the most comfortable headphone in the world, if a bit dorky looking.I bought my KSC-75 + headband for long discord calls with friends, to have a set of headphones I could forget are on my head when I don't want to use speakers. Wound up using them a lot over better headphones for music and gaming simply because they're so comfortable now. They're my go-to.Headband is pretty durable too, for what it is. I've dropped my phone a few times with them on my head, and I pop the cans off them to switch to clips frequently. Hasn't seemed to be an issue! They won't survive if you step on them though.

As a donor headband for Koss KSC75s...
I bought these to use the headband on a pair of Koss KSC75s. The three stars are a rating for that purpose. (If I rated them as a pair of headphones, they are quite terrible -- easily one star. Even worse than I expected. Don't buy these for listening to music. Get the Koss KSC75s instead.)As a donor headband, this thing is...OK. For starters, the item that arrived does not visually match the item on the listed. It also did not include (1) the 1/4" adapter, nor did it include (2) the spare foam pads as indicated by the photo. It's a different product, but fortunately it is still suitable for the purpose of fitting to Koss KSC75s.Is it better or worse than the part that's indicated by the photo, the part that is commonly recommended for this part swap? I don't know. I appreciate that this, uh, updated model keeps the adjustment mechanism entirely internal, rather than having metal protrusions exiting the outside of the headband. That said, there are a few problems with this as a donor headband. I don't now if these are also true of the originally-recommended headband.Problem #1: It is only /barely/ large enough for my adult head. My head may be slightly larger than typical, but I never need to use the entire size of a band. I do with this band.Problem #2: This band size limitation is made worse because the shape of the band is terrible for holding the KSC75s against my ears. The angle on my ears is all wrong out of the box (er, these ship in a plastic baggie). I had to severely deform the metal band to accomplish two goals: (1) Get the earphones to sit flat on my ears, and (2) to get some clamping pressure. When the headband is expanded to its full size -- again, a requirement for my dome -- there is zero clamping pressure from the headband, the things would fall off my head if I leaned forward. With some work, I've bent the band in a shape that's solving these issues...mostly. You can see how I've bent it in these photos -- I had to increase the width by creating a boxy bend, allowing the speakers angle inward slightly on my head. Otherwise, they were angled completely wrong, with the bottoms of the speakers not touching my ears.Problem #3: The clips that the drivers mount to are super loose. The first time I took off the headset with the KSC75s attached, the speakers fell off. I was able to resolve this issue by first using a hair dryer to heat up and soften the plastic of the clips and then used a pair of needle-nose pliers to squeeze the clip tighter. (I did this with the KSC75 speakers removed, of course.) Now the speakers snap in and stay.Through some coercive force, I've been able to overcome the flaws and the part is functional. The headphone's bass response improves with a bit of clamping pressure from the headband, and still retains its airy and bright sound signature. The headband feels cheap and fragile, but there is something satisfying about having such a janky-looking contraption sound so good.

Great buy
Bought as a girft. This was worth the money. The speaker covers are comfortable and the quality is what you pay for. They are versatile and attach to any player so it's very portable. The volume comes through clear with no static. This was a good buy.

DO NOT PURCHASE THESE - Horrible all around
I previously purchased the orange retro lightweight headphones and loved them as I have chronic migraines and they were great with one exception, the cord was way too short. SO, I saw these and thought just what I'm looking for! I do realize you get what you pay for. I bought them as an extra pair for when I am reading with glasses on without the weight and inconvenience of the heavier noise cancelling headphones I use when not wearing glasses. I thought these would be the same as the pair I bought previously but with a LONGER cord. NOT SO. The packaging was a mailing nightmare. These were mailed in a shipping envelope for the beginning of a bad experience. They are headphones not a pair of panties! They were coiled way too tightly so I am guessing that is another reason for the horrible crackling sound which makes it impossible to hear anything or use them at all Granted the price is cheap but as I said the last pair (exactly like these but orange instead of black and shorter cord )were just right (had the cord been longer) THESE took a long time to get here and I waited patiently only to be VERY disappointed and will make sure not to purchase from this company again. Seriously who would put headphones this delicate in a PAPER Shipping envelope? Already dumped them in the trash I was so mad. Obviously a lazy cheap company making money from poor shipping and lacking knowledge of the product they are selling. Just skip these.

Works with KOSS KSC75, more comfortable than KPH40 Headband
I am guessing most of you found this listing looking for headband for KSC75. It works, easy to install, and significantly more comfortable than KPH40 headband since it doesn't push against the top of your head KPH40 would. KPH40 is so uncomfortable, I ordered additional attachment for the top of the headband and this headband is still more comfortable.Note - The speaker unit on this is absolutely useless and not worth keeping. The headband is also ugly and cheap looking, so don't buy it for aesthetics.
