Replacement Temperature Probes for Wireless BBQ/Oven Thermometers - Cappec, iGrill, iGrill2, iGrill3, iGrill Mini, and Thermopro (Ambient and Meat Probe with Clip)

work as good if not better than the originalsedit done 2/22/2017my initial review stated that the probes work as good if not better than the originals. My original test was room temperature, and then a short cook on my Akorn Kamado cooker. The second time I used these probes, the ambient temp probe is way off! by 30 degrees. I noticed as I cooked that the grill temp jumped around a lot, up then down, then up then back down. I took the ambient probe out and replaced it with the meat probe, and the temps stabilized. Then I put in another probe clip and left them both in, the ambient probe temp again jumped all over the place while the other stayed at one temp. Ok so maybe the other one is the bad one, possible, right? I tested them both with a boiling water test. The meat probe went right up to 210 degrees and stayed there. The ambient temp probe went as far up as 184 degrees, then, again started to fluctuate drastically, it would drop into the 170 range, then back in the 180s, then back to 160s, then back up.....so I am changing my five star review to a 3 star review....edit 3/13/17another update to my review. I notified this seller of the problem with the bad ambient temp probe. They were out of stock, but assured me that as soon as they had them back in stock, they would replace the bad probe for me. I received the replacement 8 days later. Great vendor to do business with! So far, the replacement seems to be working fine

The probes work well with both of my digital thermometers thanks to the standard jack size. The only complaint I would make is the probe bracket does not really seem to sit properly with the oven rack but that has been my experience with all of the grill mount brackets that I have purchased. They may fit the BBQ grill but they fit very loosely on oven grills.

Before I ordered I inspected the picture and noticed that the plug was identical to the igrill probes. I was hoping this meant they were manufactured at the same facility.However, when testing the meat probe, it read a temperature once then never worked again.To test the probe, I was grilling chicken and used both the igrill probe and this probe. I got a reading of ~110F on the igrill probe, then switched to the Burnt End Paper probe, which gave me a similar reading. When I repeated the experiment about 2 min's later, upon plugging this probe into the igrill mini, the igrill app said no prob connected, the igrill probe continued to work. I tried changing the igrill battery, resetting the app, etc... but to no avail. Less than 5 minutes of use and this probe was in the trash.I have yet to use the ambient probe in my smoker.

Great price for both probes most sale one but include a clip so they can say two items.mine came with one probe missing saler immediately sent me it.ill buy all from him as i need them

We have the Bluetooth i2 and these are a great replacement product for it as they can be very pricey if you get the name brand. We did a comparison to the original probes and they read the same temperature which = a win!
