Kohler engines have a plastic fuel pump mounted on the side of the crank case, when the diaphragm fails it pumps fuel into crank case and fluid lock can occur if you don't catch it in time. Kohler engineers must have been smoking something when they came up with that design!!!

Pump has lasted 2 summers of regular use as fuel on my riding lawn mower. Good price, good quality. Definitely will purchase again if I need to replace in the future

Do not buy this pump. I got 15 min out of it before it quit working. It got hot then seized up.
