They work out so well on my deck, the birds love them, I have a bird bath on one and bird feeder on the other!

Product is just as described, easy to attach to balcony, and it hangs out far enough that the birds have plenty of flying room and it’s not too close to the balcony that they’re scared to come to it. Have quite a few birds that frequently visited my feeder. It, however, is not squirrel proof. So you might’ve noticed in the one picture, I have a slinky attached to it, which works great. It seems to be made pretty good and sturdy enough. I can’t say, as far as for those that have a huge bird feeder, which can get particularly heavy, when filled with the bird food. I have an open bird feeder and it holds it just fine without pulling down on it. Very happy with my purchase.

I purchased this item to hang a suet feeder from our deck. The first problem was that the pieces would not screw together properly as there was something wrong with the threads. I could only screw it on part-way, but once installed, it fell off. Had to use pliers and a lot of effort to force it (and ended up scraping much of the paint off with the pliers). The second problem is that the angle is very high (more vertical), which when attached to the railing of our deck meant that it was not really very far from the deck at all. Raccoons can just grab it from the railing and empty it at night. I have a different brand and it hangs much more horizontal, making the feeder quite far from the deck. We have had no issue with raccoons getting to that one. Finally, the hook at the end simply slips into the rod (it is not attached) and so seems to be a weak spot as well.

I bought and installed this product, hoping that squirrels won’t get to my bird feeder and they can’t so far. This product is highly recommended!!

From unpacking to installation took 10 minutes. The hummingbirds and I are all happy.

For the most part, assembly of the long rod is not hard (3 pieces that screw together). However, on the two long rods, they'd only connect on a few threads, no more. I put some liquid dish detergent on the resistant threads and with a little pressure, they screwed completely together.

This fit perfect on the rail of my deck. I have hummingbird bird feeder on it and it has performed great. Nice to loosen knob to swing the feeder around to me and replenish with nector. So, for the money I would buy another. I have been happily with the product
