I like that this kit has multiple dig objects in it. That was the main reason I bought it – to keep my six year old busy during a hard quarantine. That said, I kind of wish I had gone for a different kit. There aren't many treasures per dig object, and the ones that are there are pretty cheap. I wish I had looked closer at the box. The "perfect gems" that come in the heart are super cheap quality, and there were so few that my son gave up trying to dig the long way and ended up bashing the whole thing over the sidewalk. Next time I will choose a set that has more prizes per cubic inch.

What kid doesn’t love these sorts of dig kits? Parents love them, too because it keeps kids busy and quiet for awhile. I have noticed my kid doesn’t complete them in one sitting or anything and will come back to them. She’s 7 and has adhd with a short attention span. We like to do these outside as it can be messy. That way I don’t care about the dusty crumbs it makes but it’s easy enough to put a paper towel or plate under it indoors.This one is unique in that these kits usually have fossils but it has “gemstones” to find which might especially attract girls but boys might like this treasure as well as it’s something shiny. A coin would be cool also.These make great activities and party favors for birthdays.

I understand you won’t get real fossils and gems but the stuff is rubber. Doesn’t even try to convince your kid it’s like real. Also gives away all the surprises in each block so no fun.

My daughter has owned a few digging kits. She got hooked from her brother who has owned several over the years. The quality of this kit and the artifacts is good quality for the price.It is very messy, so I would encourage you have the kids do these outdoors.Digging kits are great for children who enjoy being active or who have a short attention span. Very easy to do, especially for younger children.

My 4 year old loved searching for the different finds in the stones and learning the names of what he found . FYI we didn’t use the tools we used the outdoors lol the tools in every kit we’ve done just don’t do the job for us . Now the next person they might like working with the tools .

This was for my granddaughter for Christmas and it was the cheapest kit I’ve ever seen. The funds were plastic. Cheap. Don’t purchase this item.

This isn’t what I thought it was going to be. I chose this dig kit because it has multiple digs so the family could share in the fun. However id warn you to use gloves and lay something on the table and make sure the clothes you and your kids are wearing aren’t anything but okay clothes. The coloring used in these stained our hands table and clothes. The gems and jewels were so cheap they were pretty laughable.
