flimsy
Luckily I bought this to use for one day. This apron will hold pens, pencils, and may be a utility knife. As for holding lite tools, I don't think it would last more than a week at my job. I build houses and carry my lite tools in my apron, I honestly don't think it will last long. I'm going to try it for a week and let people know how it holds up. Not worth the price. It's worth maybe 5 bucks. Very disappointed in the Dickies brand.

I like it.
Bought for carrying my tools at the bike shop. It's very made well for what it is, a nail apron. If you want to carry around a bunch of heavy stuff it won't work, but for a few Allen wrenches and a screwdriver it's great. I think you could get away with a couple spanners. My strings aren't super long. I have a 34" waist (32" size pants). They're plenty long for me, but I couldn't tie them in front. If you have a serious boiler going it might be iffy. Time will tell how it holds up, but I expect it to be around a while.

Dickies 2-pocket work apron disappointing
Received the Dickies 2-pocket work apron today, and the product appears to be very well made, but what really concerns me is a tag attached stating that there is a cancer risk with the apron. Why in the world would they even sell such an item??????? VERY DISAPPOINTING to say the least!!!!!!! This really makes me question the Dickies company which is a very well-known name. I want to return the apron due to the issue, but I am not sure how I go about this since I purchased it on the Amazon site. This is the first bad experience I have ever had with an order from Amazon, and I order from them often.

Great deal!
This is simply a great deal. I wish it were just a tad longer, but I just tie it in such a way that it hangs lower in the front and it’s fine. I bought this to wear to my camping gear manufacturing job where I’m leaning against a glass top table most of the day. I realized right away that it was tearing up my pants and wearing them out right across the crotch region, and that I would soon be needing to replace my $60 jeans. So I was delighted to see this apron was only about $8 and made of heavy canvas, most other aprons I looked at were just cloth or made of leather. Cloth wouldn’t last and leather was too expensive and probably would not allow me to slide across the table very well. I also bought this from the not amazon seller and paid the extra $1 for shipping because I ordered it on its own. The seller shipped it right away and I had it a few days before what the shipping time said it would be. I have even looked around since getting this one for something similar but a little longer, but have been unable to beat this deal or even approach it.

New dads apron
I bought this to make a new dads gift of baby items to get to quickly when helping with new baby duties along with new mom. I put a burp cloth, hand sanitizer, tissues, pacifer and a small baby soother along with couple other items. This carpenters apron is sturdy, well made and will be used later for work in the garage later on.
