The Bag Packed A Punch. Quality, Performance, Value and it Looks Good.
It's rare I can be bothered to give a review but occasionally I come across something exceptional. I bought this back in Nov 24 to travel to Texas from the UK. It was invaluable. Everything I needed at my fingertips. The security and attention to detail was very good. Like all but one of the zips is co-terminus meaning that 1 small padlock locks the whole bag. Discrete pockets, flaps and internal storage just abound and the quality of every component is really good. The zip pulls have a weight to them that assures you they are not going to ping off, the expandable panel is invisible until needed and the little tiny credit card or money or keys or anything pocket hidden in the strap just wonderful. I never worried that the contents were in danger of being thrown around by airport handlers as the padding was in all the right places. I now use it every day because when it is not a backpack is neatly becomes more of a briefcase with its side carry handle. If I need to charge my laptop or phone, there is a perfectly positioned USB socket at the bottom of the bag that connects back into your power bank. Now the final part. I can't believe that they can sell it for this money. I wish I needed more because, truly, you rarely find affordable quality anymore. Some backpacks have huge advertising and huge costs. I haven't tried them but given a straight swap now, I would decline. I like what I have and I wouldn't be without.

Excellent bag for commuting
I have been using this bag to cycle to uni and gym for the last 3 weeks and so far this bag has been great. It is sturdy, well built, good in the rain (only experienced light-moderate rain so far but handles it well) and spacious enough to carry all of my daily items including:-macbook air m1-ipad-phone and chargers-spare pair of clothes for gym-food-wallet, keys, passport-reading bookand there is probably more I could fit in here comfortably! Honestly this bag has so much space and so many compartments I sometimes forget where I put everything! Rest assured if you need a reliable bag to safely transport all your daily items and more this bag will do the job well. My only gripe would be the USB port as it often falls out quite easily and so I have not gotten much use out of it but I don't really find myself needing to much anyway.Overall an excellent bag well worth the price and will hopefully last me my time at uni.

Compact!
Exactly what you want, a lot of things in one bag. However, this would be stricly for travelling. Carrying a lunch box+book+laptop charger and other stuff can get quite hard.Very good quality, water resistant, I've had for quite a while now and it still looks in great condition.

So far, a perfect laptop cabin travel bag
Just got back from a 4 day international business trip and this bag was brilliant as my single cabin friendly bag (I hate having to wait for check-in luggage or wheel around separate cabin luggage). When expanded it easily held 4 days of clothes/underwear, toiletries, battery pack, laptop, mouse, whole bunch of cables and plug adapters and my documents, as well as hidden pocket for passport and other stuff you want to protect. When I got to hotel, just unpacked everything and then zipped up the expansion section and it turns into a really smart laptop backpack that holds its shape with loads of room for power supply notepads etc - none of this saggy backpack thing I used to have with previous backpacks.Room for improvement? yes - the external USB charge port can be tricky to plug in. It seems to follow a common design where it is just a housing for a separate the internal plug which might not line up and needs re-alignment. Also a dedicated pocket on the inside side for battery pack would free up one of the inner pockets for more stuff. A proper dual USB A & C plug like that on samsonite would make this absolutely perfect. Having said that I never used the external plug as it was just as easy to unzip the top and plug in directly from there (as I needed to get my cable out anyway). So far only used it a few times for travel - hopes it lasts as I really like it!

Versatile! Just what I needed
The quality is great, i have no worries when it's raining. It's also small when I want it to be and expands to a big size for travel; fits well under airline seats and has saved me loads in extra luggage fees. The only con is that it lacks a waterproof pocket for my water bottle.

Fantastic bag, very stylish and very spacious.
I always get people asking me where I got my bag, it looks very professional and clean. It's also very spacious, I was surprised how much I could fit in here especially when travelling. It's almost like a mini suitcase, but can be compressed to make it more sleek looking.I had never heard of Mark Ryden bags before this...its now my favourite bag brand!!!

Needs to be simplified
A well made bag and just the right size for airplane carry on. However it's just trying to do too much. The plethora of pockets is a bit overkill and makes it impractical for quick access to items. Fewer pockets with easier access would greatly improve things.
