Gritty and not filtered properly. Tincture does not have any potency. It works, but barely. Better to just get the roots and make my own tincture. Very disappointed.

A squirt of two of NOW valarian extract via, the dropper, into a few ounces of water really helps me get to sleep in as little as 15 minutes. For an even faster-acting dose, I put 6-8 drops of full-strength extract under my tongue and keep it there for a couple of minutes before swallowing. (That method works well to get a fast dose of other naturals like passion flower.) Swallowing the extract without water sometimes gives me a little heartburn for which chew an antacid tablet. If you take any prescribed sleep meds, be sure to check online for any possible interactions!

That's the story here. It helps get the rest I was missing, especially after making a 3am bathroom trip.

My cats are wild for this stuff. But I would say it's more watery than other brands I have purchased.

Ugh, the smell is so bad. Took it for two nights without any benefits and can't do it anymore.

I love this stuff. Chills you out before bed, and I have had the most vivid, lovely dreams. Dreams where they feel real, like seeing old friends or walking in the woods. I sleep so deeply with this stuff. No midnight waking when my wonderful husband snores.Smells terrible, like the fetid smell of oakleaf viburnum berries, but the taste isn't too awful when diluted in a little water. No bad side effects at all.

Love the NOW brand and use almost exclusively, but super unhappy to finda cheap plastic dropper sitting in this grain alcohol based Valerian tincture.Finished the bottle, but probably a little of the dropper as well. Looking for a brandwith a glass dropper.
