There’s a ton of negative reviews on this and upset people. But the folded paper that comes in the box with the product, states everything all of these negative reviews are talking about.*THE PRODUCT IS NOT WATERPROOF. It’s water resistant. And the paper states it’s ok to shower with it, but to not have too much water get on it.*THE PRODUCT MAY MAKE YOUR SKIN RED. It says it’s ok if the product makes your skin a little red. It says to stop using it if it blisters your skin. It says for best results, when it’s time to take it off, don’t put a new one on for 12-24 hours.*THE PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS SAY IT MAY NOT STAY ON A FULL 10 DAYS. It depends on where your scar is located. If it’s in a high tension area, or located in an area where friction is often caused, it might not last a full 10 days.*IT TELLS YOU HOW TO REMOVE PRODUCT.Do it in the shower or where you can run warm water with soap to gently peel it over on itself, you need to be careful as it’s supposed to adhere to your skin and ripping it off like a bandaid can hurt your skin, or rip your skin.Personally, for my use, I had a mini tummy tuck. I used this product and it lasted 3 days for me the first time’s use. The next morning, my skin was slightly red in some parts, but not all. I kept it off for 2 days and in those days, I applied a scar gel/cream instead. The reviews that people show the results, have amazing results. So I will continue using this. But read the damn paper people.

Doesn’t stay on, not worth the high price tag
I really wanted to like these strips. They were recommended by a colleague and i was looking forward to not having to apply silicone cream twice a day and staining my clothes. Unfortunately, these strips just don’t stay on. I followed ALL of the instructions to the letter and applied all three strips to my abdomen. I am wearing a compression girdle, so the strip was firmly in place. A day later I steppd into a shower and the strip just slid off under the water. I thought maybe it was user error, so applied the remaining three strips after thoroughly cleaning and drying my skin, the strips lasted less than two days. So the “30-day supply” lasted 4 days. These strips cost a ridiculous amount of money for what they are —pre-cut silicone tape with a “fancy” application method.

These work perfectly for a tummy tuck scar if you alter them a bit and prep your skin properly!
The trick to these things is knowing how to use them properly. It took me two whole sheets to figure it out. I used these for a long tummy tuck scar on my lower abdomen. At first I followed the directions and used an entire rectangle. The bandage did not stay on long and started peeling off around edges like other people said in their reviews. The first round lasted about 3 days. I thought, “Wow! That’s expensive and doesn’t last long but maybe if I alter how I’m using them and prep my skin more aggressively they’ll stay on longer.” So I did, and then they worked perfectly! I’m starting my 6th week of treatment and boy am I glad I stuck with it because my tt scar looks amazing! (Side note, I also used the little square embrace bandages for my new belly button which was starting to scar slightly around edges)So this is what I did to make it work for me. First I clean the area in the shower with straight up soap and water and rub with a wash cloth gently. Then when I get out of shower I don’t touch any lotions or oils and immediately use a thin, baby wash cloth and rubbing alcohol to clean the area where the bandage will go. Then I pluck any hairs I see that the silicon bandage may go over. Then I use rubbing alcohol again all over and even my hands before handling the bandages. I clean a pair of sharp scissors with the rubbing alcohol as well and use the scissors to then cut the large bandages in half lengthwise. I stand up straight and let my belly be relaxed. Next, I peel off one half and put on the middle part of my scar first, pulling it taught but not too much. Once I have it where I want I press down with my hand and rub along the strip and apply pressure all over it till it has completely adhered to my skin. Then I do it again on one side, overlapping slightly. Lastly, I cut another strip in half and only use one half to complete the coverage on the other side of my scar. So you’ll end up with two, 10 day treatments in one box for one very long tummy tuck scar. This process works so well I think the silicon bandages would actually stay on a lot longer than 10 days but I always peel them off on day 10 and let my skin breath for 12 to 24 hours. I also moisturize the area during that time as well. So basically these things are awesome if you figure out how to use them right! I guess it might be different for people with other types of scars but it worked for me and my tt scar! Good luck!

Possibly effective, but not sticky enough
I wanted to love this product! I previously had a scar (from a previous incision) that did not heal well, so I had a plastic surgeon “fix” the area by reopening and stitching. The doctor highly recommended this product and their office was going to charge WAY more for it than the price on Amazon, so I grabbed it here.At my post op appointment, they confirmed this was the correct product.I thought application of the product seemed fairly simple (by watching videos), but it’s in a spot on my back that I can’t reach to apply it. I had my daughters and my husband put different ones on and they struggled to line it up correctly 1/2 the time. I’m not sure why.The product advertises that each one lasts about 10 days. I was lucky to get 3 days out of it before it was peeling up on all edges. By that point, I only need to lightly pull it off the rest of the way- it wasn’t painful or anything from being sticky.So- I went through the entire package in about 3 weeks time.I think it helped a little, but I would probably have to buy 2 more packs to get the results they describe.Instead, I opted to order the Beautivity Scar Cream and I don’t have to worry about anything sticking on.In short, while I think the product would eventually deliver great results, they don’t adhere very well and would need more boxes to get a 2 month treatment out of it. That’s just more money and work than I wanted to put into this.

Don’t stay on
I can’t get these to stay on for more than 1.5 days. The larger ones stay on a bit longer but still nowhere close to the 7-10 days as reported. Total ripoff. I would avoid.
