Here's why you should buy this remote...
A little background on my situation first:My set up is a Roku 3 + Samsung TV + Onkyo receiver (+ 5.1 speakers). All I watch is Roku as I have everything I need on this excellent little streamer: Amazon movies / Netflix / Hulu TV / Etc.I have been experiencing some issues with my Roku remote 'unpairing' itself which, I believe, is related to another issue. While that's a work in progress to fix and I thought I'd get a low cost direct remote to help me until it's resolved. To be honest, I think I'm going to stay with this remote as a replacement for the Roku remote, the TV remote and the receiver remote. One of the critical factors which attracted me to this remote (apart from the price) was the fact that the button layout for the Roku control INCLUDED the back button and home key. Many other remotes do not and leaves you needing to program a button which is not immediately recognizable as the intended function. I noted that it was described as being able to control two devices (TV and box) and I was resigning myself to having to use the receiver remote to switch it on and off and to control the volume... amazingly, this is not the case.Out of the box, the remote controlled all the major functions of my Samsung TV and I just needed to enter the correct four digit code for the 'Box' settings to control my Roku (perfectly, I might add). Then I tried a few other options. By following the button/function learning instructions very carefully (not a mean feat because the written English is not perfect) I was able to program the volume keys to control my receiver volume on both the TV and Box settings and, miraculously, I managed to program the on/off box button to switch the receiver on and off. As you may be aware, there is no on/off for the Roku so this is a 'spare' setting you can use.Summary: In essence, I have all the major functions I need on the one remote, controlling the Roku, TV AND receiver; Perfect!I will admit the build quality is not the best in the world and the buttons are a little close together but, for this price, what do you expect? It's a perfectly usable multi-device, programmable, simplified Roku/TV/Receiver controller, as long as you keep you original remotes handy for advanced functions.I've had this for about a day and, if things go wrong in the near future, I'll add an update.

Delicate
It does everything I want it to do and learned the functions from the remote. The wriststrap broke the day I got it and I dropped it once and it fell apart. It snapped back together and still works but now I feel like I have to treat it like fine china.

Not bad as a spare. There is better and cheaper.
Worked good. Setup was easy. Only reason I didn’t like it and give it a better rating was it wouldn’t control the tv volume without hitting the tv button first. My previous RCA one did and that was excellent. This one was more laid out like a Roku remote is why I tried it. Ended up going back to the RCA and put this one up as a spare.

TCL tv doesn't accept numbers
all was good with the transaction. It came in a timely manner. It just didn't work with my particular tv. I wanted it so I could just punch in numbers instead of scrolling. Just didn't know my tv wouldn't accept numbers. My tv is a TCL.

Read the instructions
This remote is 200% programmable. Each button will do any two functions you want. You just need to read the instructions. It will perfectly control any IR Roku and give you all TV functions. Use best TV code and your old TV remote to program.*There is a code to make it always do TV volume*Set cc key to do dot*Set Power button to do TV power in Box mode*Any spare keys can do any TV function you want

Works as intended (including using with a sound bar)
Works as intended. Running a Samsung TV, a Roku, and a sound bar at the same time. Used the code for the TV for the TV function, and used the code for a Roku on the second device button. Then unused the learning function for it to learn the volume and mute buttons from the sound bar remote. This is the second time I purchased this remote (for another room this time). Both have been very reliable for me.

Good solution for single remote for a Visio TV and a Roku player
It works fine, if a bit awkwardly. Good solution to wanting a single remote for a Visio TV and a Roku streaming player. Was not difficult to program. Arrived as promised. Price is bargain.

It took a little longer to set up but works fine.
It dose work with a TCL Roku TV but I needed to use the original remote to teach it the button functions. It took a little longer to set up but works fine.
