Capstone Games Ride The Rails: Australia & Canada

The best way to see a country is on the rails....no hassle with traffic and usually they have pretty good food. Bought this game to share my love of train travel with friends. Will be playing during the cold winter months.

The second game in the Iron Rail series published by Capstone Games, this is a simple game of acquiring shares in a train company (without the auction component) and placing rail lines across the map. The rules are simple but there is a nuance to the game and mastering the strategy will require repeated plays. Great thing is that the gameplay is relatively quick (roughly 45 mins - 1 hour) so you can get in multiple plays in a sitting if your group is inclined to do so.

This is a fun multilayered strategy game. Rules seem complicated at first, but can be easily learned. If playing more competitively instead of more cooperatively, the length of play time can be like a good game of chess.

Game is good. It came in a plastic envelope so the game box was damaged.

The rules are simple and the board while simple really poops graphically. May need to buy the expansion maps for more game variety
