The best Basmati sela rice!
It is the absolute best Basmati rice that we have had. The aroma, fluffiness, taste, and length of the grain, are all absolutely amazing.

it's tasty and it cooks up perfectly
I almost don't want to give a great review because i don't want everyone to run out and buy up all this Zebra basmati rice. When they say XX Long grain rice, they are not joking around. It cooks perfectly. It is my favorite rice of all the rice i ever tasted (and i know rice). It's wonderful. I wish it were less expensive. I don't eat much rice anymore because i'm trying to lose weight but when i want rice, no other rice will do. Last time i ordered i got two bags and that should last me a couple years if i don't get back on a rice eating kick.

This Rice is Not Expensive
First: It is one of the best rices in the world. Anybody from Afghanistan, Pakistan, or Iran will tell you that. They had to do a lot of work to get this rice to the advanced stage of production you receive it in. Second: When you compare price per ounce, it is actually cheaper than the American cardboard tasting junk you find in our stores. Here is how to prepare it to be unbelievably good: (1) Cover it in water and swish it around vigorously with your hand. The water will start to look cloudy. That is the starch washing off. Rinse it multiple times until all the starch is gone. (2) Fill a pot with water and put the rice in. Fill the water liberally and let it boil until it is only half cooked. The grain should crunch between your teeth. (3) Drain it through a sieve. (4) Put it in a covered baking pan. Put a little water over it to help it finish. (5) Bake at 350 until done. (Usually less than half an hour) When it is done, you can almost flick one grain at the top of a pile and that one grain will roll down without sticking to any other rice. If some of the rice stuck to the sides of the pan, scrape it off and eat it! It is the best part, a real treat. Optional: After you put it on a serving plate, dust the top liberally with saffron.

Barely edible, smells like dirt
This rice is barely edible, flavor is off and it smells like dirt. I am unable to eat this, even kroger white rice is better than this. For the money you can get something good, for example Prime Harvest Basmati Rice, or 817 Elephant Jasmine Rice. Surprisingly the white bag "Zebra Basmati Rice Extra Long Kernel" was good when I got it before, which makes me confused about this brand.
