PolarPro Macro Lens for GoPro Hero4 - 3.8X Magnification Filter

The media could not be loaded. Amazing product, really opens up the doors for creative shooting on the go hero 4! My video review speaks for itself, a must have. I just ordered the polarizer the other day so I willcreate a video review of that as well.

Lens foggs up, I've only got one decent shot with this lens, and it was the within the first 20 seconds I put the lens on my gopro. You are better off with out it, waste of money. And don't even try to get it wet....think about jumping in a pool with goggles on that don't fit well, and water tends to get trapped between your goggles and eyes, YEAH well that happens every time I try to get it wet.

It wasn't what I expected. I expected 3.8x magnification with infinite focus. The purpose for my purchase was so I wouldn't have to stick the camera right on my subject but still get a great detailed shot. I tested using a medium frame and felt the frame wasn't distorted by adding the lens. This focal point is about 1.5 - 2 ft from the lens. Anything past that gets blurred out. Other than that I felt it fit well on the GoPro case and was snug yet easy to remove. I did not try it underwater so can't attest to whether it is waterproof or not. If I was going for a depth of field or portrait look then this would be a great addition. It may be just what someone else is looking for.It in itself is a good product - IMO. I gave it 4 stars because the fault was my own for not researching it more before purchasing. If the glass was a higher quality I would have given it 5. There is no noticeable coating to improve the quality of the image captures.

I bought this thinking I was going to get so many macro shots with my new GoPro, but it tends to end up staying in my pocket due to the hassle of affixing it on and off. This is a fault of my own behavior, but if you feel you are the same way, I'd give this a pass.

Well built and works great for what I need it for - photos are turning out greatly would recommend.

I would not recommend this lens. I made sure to attach this device snug on the camera and unfortunately once I looked at all the videos I recorded I noticed any part of the video not far from the center of the video was blurry and distorted.

The picture looks exactly the same.

OK, not your $1500 Canon or Nikon macro. This macro-adapter lens suited for what it does, however. Fits my GoPro HERO4 Black nicely.
