I almost never leave reviews on amazon, but this really deserves one. At the time I purchased mine, this apron was a still brand new product here on amazon with probably less than ten reviews. After I received it, I figured that the price was only as low as it was so they could sell them while there was still hardly any feedback. I thought that after selling a few hundred or these, they would no doubt raise the price after hearing how much their customers loved them. Now after two years it actually costs less than when I bought mine. Go figure lol It's still a bit hard to believe how little this apron cost considering it's quality. It's made from heavy duty canvas as the description says and really feels like a good layer of protection. It works great while I'm using my belt grinder as it keeps my shirts from having new holes burned in them, and it also works great while I'm forging steel (bladesmithing), since it protects my clothes and myself from most of the hot fire-scale that goes flying after hitting the hot steel. I'm also very pleased with how well it fits and how comfortable it is to wear. My previous cheap "leather" apron went around my neck, which I can't stand the feeling of, it's as if I'm wearing a weight around my neck or something. This one straps nicely over my shoulders, which not only makes it much more comfortable, but it also makes it feel lighter since my two shoulders are easily bearing the weight, not my neck. There are plenty of useful pockets on the front as well, so that is another plus. I would definitely recommend this apron and buy it again, although I'm not sure I'll ever need to.

Great apron. I was initially worried about the fit given it's sizing claims it fits M-XXL, but it turns out there was nothing to worry about there. The apron is a good length, and comfortable to wear, even with the 'out of the box' stiffness in the wax. With time and use, I imagine it'll be even better. I use this mostly in the garage/shop while I'm tinkering with various woodworking projects. The pockets are plenty big enough for convenient access to squares, small levels, etc.., and the cell pocket keeps the phone close and out of harms way. I tend to stream music from the phone to a bluetooth stereo, so it's nice to be able to just reach in the pocket to change playlists or send off a quick text when needed. About the only things I'd change would be the little leather patch that the straps cross through on the back, and perhaps having the lower 'skirt' of the apron below the pockets split to make it easier to bend or kneel. The leather piece that the straps pass through is far too soft for the purpose (in my opinion) often bunching up and making it harder to adjust than something stiffer might. Having a split skirt in front would still offer much the same protection, but allow for greater freedom of movement. Neither is enough to warrant removing a star, as both are more my personal preference rather than any defect or shortcoming in the apron. I'm actually considering getting a second one to use with my BBQ grill. The pockets are big enough to hold my grill gloves, which resemble welding gloves, and with a little modification to some of the grill tools, I can probably use the hammer loops to keep them handy. Definitely worth considering if you're in the market for a new shop apron.

I recently purchased the Hudson Durable Goods Heavy Duty Waxed Canvas Work Apron in Grey, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer for me. I've spilled my fair share of paint and glue on this apron, but it wipes off easily and doesn't leave any stains. Plus, the waxed canvas repels water, so if I'm working outside in the rain, I don't have to worry about getting soaked. I have to tell you about a particular incident that happened while I was wearing this apron. I was working on a project that involved using a lot of spray adhesive, and as you can imagine, things got a bit messy. I ended up getting some of the adhesive on my apron, and I was worried it would never come out. But, to my surprise, when I got home and tossed the apron in the wash, it came out looking good as new! I was so impressed with how well the waxed canvas held up against the adhesive and how easily it cleaned up. It's moments like these that make me appreciate the quality of this apron even more. Aside from its practical uses, this apron has also become a bit of a conversation starter. Whenever I'm wearing it out in public, I always get compliments and questions about where I got it. It's not every day that you see someone walking around in a work apron, after all. But, perhaps the funniest moment involving this apron was when I wore it to a barbecue. I was grilling up some burgers and hot dogs, and I didn't want to get grease all over my clothes, so I put on the apron. Well, let's just say that my friends thought it was hilarious that I was wearing a work apron to a casual backyard barbecue. But hey, I like to be prepared for any situation! One of the things I love about this apron is that it's so versatile. I can wear it while I'm working on my car, woodworking in my garage, or even cooking in my kitchen. Wow! This is a super apron!! I was getting desperate to replace my old denim apron that I have worn off and on for decades, mostly off....when the string got to irritating my neck. I came close to getting some old sail canvas from a friend of mine and making my own, well until I found the Hudson product. I bought the gray one and I am very pleased. The apron is very comfortable. I like the reinforced places and the many pockets so I don't have to go looking for my pen, ruler, knife, etc. It is long enough and wide enough to keep my clothing protected. I consider this to be not just an apron, but part of my essential tools. I have had if for just over a week and put it through the test ground. I do mostly wood work, but also some stained glass jobs, and a bit of metal work too. This apron has stood up to everything without any complaints or problems. Follow up comments: I have worn this apron almost everyday now in my shop for five months. It is everything I expected and more. Even more comfortable now that it is broken in. Absolutely no problems and certainly it is the most comfortable apron I have ever worn. Certainly worthy of five stars. If you are serious about a really good apron, buy this one! I wanted a comfy and sturdy cooking apron. I spend a lot of time indoors and outdoors cooking, chopping, smoking, butchering deer and hogs, making sausage, etc. Over the neck aprons always pulled on my neck as more knives or other tools clung to my aprons and filled the pockets. Chef coats and jackets are just too warm. I tried the Woodworkers Apron in brown and it is great. All of my tools such as thermometer, tongs, towels, knives, cell phone, pens, etc fit comfortably. The cross back straps are great. No discomfort all and I wore it for 6 hours on the first day I had it and 7 hours on the next day, Easy on and off. I stitched an american flag patch dead center on the apron and it looks great. In two days I had plenty of people comment on the looks cosmetically and how it looks heavy duty. Hopefully it holds up to a lot of use. No doubt in my mind that so far this is a great apron and at great price.

I do a bunch of cooking and pretty intensive kitchen projects. 12 hour cooks, multi-stage BBQs, curing meats, making lox, and breaking down large quantities of meat. This apron is great for a few reasons: -I use the pockets MUCH more than I thought I would. -It's mostly waterproof/meat juice proof (This is big) -Its neck straps are really excellent. They don't get uncomfortable at all and distribute the weight of the apron across the entire back. -it has significant coverage. I can wear this with lots of clothes and really not have to worry... I know other aprons block food too (kinda the point) but this is a longer overall fit and really helps keep pants clean too. -The tool loop is the BEST rag holder ever created. Now you get to have a rag attached to you all the time for drying knives, wiping hands, etc. -Build quality is really excellent. Rivets are strong, stitching seems well done and uses poly thread, and nothing has come apart after about 50 hours of wear so far. Perhaps the only con I can think of is that it can be a little hot in the summer..... but you could guess that just by looking at it. Solid recommendation from me and if you are looking for a sturdy, well built apron you can use in the workshop or in the kitchen... Consider picking this one up.

Great customer service and wonderful product. I ordered this apron for my husband’s birthday. He is life-long woodworker. Anything wood in our house was crafted by him. That said, he never had an apron that completely worked, but the Hudson apron fits all of his desires…fabric that can withstand lots of wear and tear and pockets that fit his every need. I also want to give a HUGE shout out to the customer service. Without a long story, the unworn apron was damaged before I could even give it to my husband due to our overly enthusiastic dog. I contacted customer service to ask if I could buy the ties, and without a beat they offered to send a brand new apron. Wow! I recommend this product to anyone without any reservations.
