Conjuring 7-Film Collection, The (DVD)

Great movies and high quality discs. Have played these all the way through a couple of times with no issues at all.

Although I read all the books written (with co-authors) by the Warrens a few years ago, I had never seen one movie in the “Conjuring Universe.” In my opinion, psychological horror is the scariest, and I had assumed that the movies in this series would include the usual ingredients: gore, noise, explosions, and therefore be totally non-scary. (I think that the most frightening horror movie ever made is still 1968’s “Rosemary’s Baby,” because everything in the story appears so “normal.”) But when Last Rites came out, the publicity interested me enough to check out the earlier films. I was very happy to see that these aren’t today’s usual horror offerings (although one recurring shtick is the ankle-grab: yanking someone down to the floor and dragging away! I’ve always found this more funny than anything; for one thing, it’s almost predictable). This set is a great value, the actors playing the Warrens are superb, and there are some real chills in the films, esp. realizing that some are said to be based on fact (the denials of always-vocal sceptics to the contrary). I didn’t get a chance to see Last Rites at the theater, because I watched the others in chronological order, so I plan to buy that DVD as well.

This is not a movie review but a review on the disc set. Came in as advertised. No scratches on blu-rays. 1 movie per disc. Great price. Would highly recommend.

This review is solely for the quality of the discs received and not for the movie quality itself. The discs all played perfectly, no freezing, skipping or scratches. The case was undamaged in shipping. I've bought alot of movies and series from Amazon and have had issues with the DVDs or Blu-rays freezing, skipping or won't play in general. Thankfully this was not the case for this particular listing / seller. Highly recommend

Good movies with great picture. A couple of the movies had glitches while playing the movie.

I love this Franchise, so happy to have most of the series here in Blu-Ray. You have some winners in here and some terrible films but the winners are great. Especially the Conjuring 2 and Annabelle Creation. Highly recommend this set!

I was certainly glad to purchase this as it helped add a few missing films and condense my current collection into a smaller space. What was even better was that it allowed me the opportunity to gift my prior films to my youngest brother as he hadn’t seen the films before.

I'm very sorry. I didn't realize that a couple of the films were on one disc. This item is excellent!!
