Good Stuff
I've been using this for a couple of years now and also the later released 4050 ( 4050 more as a top coat than intercoat). But this 4030 is great not just mixed into Createx paints but also craft paints and soft body or liquid body artist acrylic paints. I wouldn't so much call it a reducer though, as you still need to reduce the blend for proper airbrushing, especially where I'm using it mostly on plastic models or metal and want to retain tiny details. It really aids in leveling and flow out as well as hardening the acrylic paints. It's not a myth lol !Someone mentioned it hardened on them in the bottle. That's a cap issue not the product. You have to keep things really clean so the cap seals correctly. One guy on the internet went so far as to make a gasket for the cap. He used this in volume, not squirting or dropping it out the tiny spout but taking the cap right off and pouring it. Once he got to the bottom of his issue he has not lost any more product to hardening in the bottle.

I thought it would have to be too good to be true!
I’m very impressed by this product. I believed it when they told me it would make my paint harder and more adhesive, but I wasn’t expecting it to work this well. Sanding is always important, and anything can (and probably will) chip off of a slick surface, including this. But if surface prep is done properly, and your substrate isn’t glossy, this stuff is incredible. The Wicked Colors paint I used without this additive was easily scratching off of the plastic I was painting, and just from light accidental scratches with my fingernails. After adding this it’s harder than my nails, my floor, and it seems to be tougher than my (admittedly sorta cheap) sandpaper. Sanding it after curing rips the grit right off the backing. Having to upgrade my sandpaper to 3M or better is a problem I am happy to have. I stay around the maximum recommended 25%. I don’t believe that my color or opacity were changed in any way by adding this higher percentage. If you like your cheaper sandpaper, maybe try a little less.

AIR BRUSH CLEANER? Is it as good as they claim to clean your airbrush
I build plastic models and use my airbrush to paint with acrylics. Removing dried up acrylics in an airbrush is sometimes difficult to remove. I watched a number of videos on YouTube where they used this reduced as a cleaner, so I tried it out and it works. It is not as caustic as other cleaner that can damage the rubber O ring that are inside the airbrush. It is a little expensive so that is why I give it a 4 out of 5.

Great reducer and cleaner
Works great for thinning paint. I like better than the 411 reducer.

Perfectly suited
I’m using it with candy concentrates and pearl mica. Works great! I have had an unknown caused issue of a small area peeling in a multi layer situation but I’m no painter by any means. It may be something I caused rather than product. I’ve reodered and used several times. Highly recommend.
