My 13 year old son loved this gift. The instructions were easy to follow and the ingredients were high quality. (We did have to add a bit of extra water than the directions noted, but we figured it out.) The churros were so good - no different than the ones from a restaurant or food truck. The ones we didn't eat right away, my kids took ice fishing with their friends later that day and finished them all!You will need an adult to supervise with the hot oil.

Everything about this kit is amazing! The packaging is perfect, the instructions are accurate and easy to follow, and the churros are excellent!

This is a pretty nice churro set that would be nice as a gift set since everything is in it and it's very presentable and giftable. It's obviously on the more expensive side, but that seems to be because of the convenience. It has everything you need to make with a nice pamphlet with instructions as well as tips to avoid issues. It makes it very clear you want to make sure the dough is just right, so if you are not seasoned with dough you may be disappointed. It will all depend on your climate and other factors if you need to add more or less water. I ended up just using extra virgin olive oil in a pan, and I put all my dough in the sleeve. In the middle of dispersing it, the tip came off into the hot oil, so I needed to pull it out with some tongs and just disperse the rest of the mixture without the tip on so they were just huge chunks that came out without the churro formation. They basically looked like logs, but I guess I really didn't care since I'm just making them for my son. I should have made sure the tip was secure before I started. It didn't take long for them to cook, and I didn't use a thermometer and just flipped him over when I intuitively felt they were done then I let them sit on some paper towel and napkins to absorb a lot of the grease and then I rolled them into the sugar mixture.. I didn't want to have too much sugar, so I tweaked it a little bit so there wasn't too much on there. They were excellent, and my seven-year-old absolutely loved them as well. We had a decent amount and only used half the bag and we have more that we can make at another time. It was a fun activity with my son as well so he could be a part of it, but it is obviously kind of a mess.

I am very impressed.I am no baker, but I can follow basic instructions. This kit does a good job of taking you step-by-step for what is necessary to make churros - yea! The kit also contains 'helpful tips,' which aren't stated in the directions but are good to know as you embark on this journey.There is enough to make 40 churros, and you can dip them in chocolate, too - wow! You just need a few basic ingredients, which almost everyone would have on hand, anyway. It doesn't hurt to look at what is needed before starting!Mine didn't look as pretty as the picture, but I appreciate the suggestion for churro bites. Those were a little easier for me. It is a labor of love to make these things, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. This would make for a good summertime or break project where you have extra time, want to learn something new, and don't mind a mess in the kitchen. Certain parts of this kit can also be reused, so I plan to make them again in the future, even if I have to make my own mix.Overall, I definitely recommend giving this kit a try. It's worth the money to try something new that is memorable, quality, and fun. You will definitely make memories through this!

This Global Grub DIY Churro Kit is a very well put together all-in-one kit. And, it is fun, a bit experimental, and a great learning experience all at the same time. It takes a lot of practice to make a churro look like a churro. Ours came out a little wonky, but they were still yummy and we all had a good time.It comes with just about everything you need to make two small patches or one large batch. If your family loves tasty treats, making these together will surely be a hit. The kit comes with top-notch ingredients, is very well presented, with wonderful instructions and tips to help you along the way. It's a great tasting family activity and I would absolutely recommend it!

Getting this kit and making it could be a fun activity to do with your kids or other kids, even adults, who are visiting. I personally prefer air frying or baking over deep frying but if you want the full authentic traditional experience go ahead and deep fry. This kit can also be a very nice gift to someone else.
