Made a spud pole mount on my boat this pole slides through. Great product. Holds my 1756 aluminum boat with no problem

Easier to set than my regular anchor, and it holds!
Did a great job holding my 18 foot open bow boat (Bayliner 185) in the shallows. No trouble holding even when the wind was gusting on a 15-20mph wind day. Plenty of waves, too, and I was less than 10 feet from the shore and never slipped. It's also super easy to readjust. When I was in too shallow of waters where I could tell that I would occasionally hit the bottom, my wife and I were able to use the anchor and a boat hook to push off into slightly less shallow water and re-anchor no problem. Didn't have to run the engine. This thing is great, and I should have bought one sooner.

Excellent customer service
This is a great product, the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the stainless steel tip fell off of it the first time I used it. But I can tell you after speaking with Brad the product representative he was extremely helpful and jumped right on my problem and sent me out a new tip immediately. He also stated that this is only happened two or three times that he can remember. I received the tip in approximately 3 days put it on and it's working great. Thank you Brad for the quick follow-up service. I recommend this product.

Great for small boat
I use this for my 16 foot fiberglass bass boat and it works perfectly. I can stake it in the ground and tie it to a cleat or trim up my outboard and use it as a pole to pull me across some shallow areas that I dont want to use my trolling motor in. I have the 7 foot version so it fits in my rod locker without issue, the 9 foot would be nice but would run into storage issues. I read some reviews about the cap falling off on the bottom but have not experienced that personally and i use the pole often.

Excellent stake out pole with a few caveats.
Bought this to use with a stand up paddleboard used exclusively for fishing. Works great in the waters I fish. I not only use it to anchor but as also a push pole to pole around mud flats searching for feeding fish.If you are in an area with mainly rock bottom, it will not work as well as it needs to be driven into the bottom to "stake out". Additionally, effective depth to use is probably around 7' max as it must be driven into the bottom well for it to hold. I also carry an anchor with 50' of rope for anchoring in deeper water but I prefer the pole when depth allows as it is easy to deploy and retrieve. A person could make one themselves for a little less money, probably around 40-50 dollars for something comparable or cheaper if you use your imagination but for a one purchase and done deal I have no regrets and would buy again.

Wellll worth it. Love this thing!
I love this thing! I live in Florida and do a ton of inshore saltwater fishing up on the flats. Throwing my anchor was ridiculous. This pole is so much more convenient. I have a 19ft Bayline and it holds it perfectly. In a full 8 hour day it might pull out once or twice if we take on a wake, but I just restick it and good to go. I wasn’t sure it was going to hold my boat in current and tides (was thinking maybe only for kayaks and or Jon boats), but it really does.
