They did a great job holding my car
They did a great job holding my car, though I was a little leery of them. They have a much smaller footprint than I'm used to and the jaw that the frame rests on is a bit narrower than I'd like. Plus if you aren't a little bit paranoid about being under a 2 ton vehicle, with brand new jack stands you probably don't value your life as much as you should. But they did exactly what they were supposed to do. The smaller base made it easier to maneuver my floor jack, so there is some benefit to this. But I do wish the jaw would have been big enough to allow the rear frame rail to rest inside the edges. There was no problem with the front of the frame though.

GOOD DEAL ON WELL MADE JACK STANDS
I got these thru Amazon warehouse for an even better price than brand new ones. So what if the box was torn or a bit of paint was chipped off - these are car stands for the garage. They are sturdy and the pair is for 3 tons of weight, not 3 tons per single stand. A son married, moved out, took my back up jack and only pair of 3 ton stands. He and I both do our own oil changes for our vehicles. Reviews were good so I ordered a pair. Got here on time. Look brand new. Just used today for the first time and supported my 3600 lb compact SUV just fine. They are simple, easy to use, strong, should be used on concrete, go high enough to allow plenty of room to lay under the vehicle, and you are SAFE! Always read and follow directions, even on the simplest of things like these stands.

Like some have said
Like some have said, the welds could stand to be better. I would not want to load these up to their max. Remember that they are rated for 3 tons spread across BOTH stands. But for my little Mazda Miata (only a little over half a ton across two), so far so good. I've used these plenty of times and they're working well. That said, it's good practice to always have a secondary support. I usually just keep my jack at the lift point, just in case. Overall, these are about as good as it gets for the price.

Terrific purchase...couldn't be happier and safer
Bought two sets of (2) in order to hold up my 2010 Infiniti G37xS while I was painting the brake calipers, and they performed very admirably.I'd be the first to admit I know nothing about welds and all that, but let me say that at no point did I feel in any danger of slippage. What I would suggest for anyone with a similar vehicle, as there are lots of questions from people as to where to place the stands, is right next to the jack points and running parallel to the frame rails. So think of it as the jack stand labels should be facing the rear tires. Also, I picked up two sets of of 2 Piece Rubber Jack Stand Pads from Harbor Freight and those really helped create a nice and secure buffer between the points of the stands and the car.I'll recommend these to anybody.

Easy to use.
Easy to use, so far no issues. I'm using four of them to hold up the 4 wheels of a 6,000 pound camper trailer for the winter. I covered the top of them with a few layers of gorilla tape so that they wouldn't scratch the axle metal, but you could use anything you have lying around. We'll see how they hold up for the winter. They are not made in the US, so I felt very guilty about not buying the ones that I found on-line that WERE made in the USA that looked extremely well made, but those were about $115 dollars each, and I just couldn't spend that much money. Bummer.

Sturdy stands.
Sturdy stands, but the release mechanism operates too easily. I prefer to jack up the vehicle and keep it supported with the jack, but put the stands in place in case the jack should fail. This leaves the car farther up in the air. Unfortunately, if you don't lower the car onto the stands, then they aren't under load and a simple bump to the release lever can drop the stand and this isn't safe.

Jack Me Up? You Betcha!
I'm using these jack stands for a John Deere mower to do some deck repairs. 3 tons is likely overkill, and the product was sturdy. There was a packing issue on Amazon's side. When a 3 ton jack set is shipped in the same box as 2 glass jars, guess who loses? That problem has been resolved. My repairman likes these stands and they are easy to set up. I can use these stands for my Volvo too! Two-fer! Great quality all around.-David Allen

Does the Job
This works great for cars, you get enough clearance to get under and its stable. You might be skeptical with only one prong, but this is surprisingly able to hold a car up for a week without any flinches. Although it holds up toyota tacoma as well, i would not trust going under there. I would get a set of the double locking prong 6 ton ones instead. But still its very convenient, and small to store.
