There is a little bit of assembly required to attach the center plastic handle with screws, but all equipment, even a properly sized screwdriver, is included in the box.Overall, highly recommended. Feels very sturdy and works exactly as it should. Handle attaches with three tiny Phillips head screws. It was a nice surprise to find a couple of extra features of this order. Two packages of screws are included just in case you lose them. It also included a small Phillips screwdriver for assembly!

I would love to review this steamer with a better rating but the thing annoys me EVERY time I use it. Once in place it’s great and does what it’s designed for. The one problem I have is one of the three feet doesn’t stay open! Two seem to do as they are intended and have some resistance to hold them open or shut. The third swings freely which makes it very challenging to get into position in a pot. Mine could be a manufacturing fluke and I realize it seems a trivial complaint but it really does annoy me and my wife with every use to the point we’ve almost tossed it just to avoid the frustration. I love the design and the silicone foot covers I like they are wide unlike other steamers I have the have straight poles as legs. But the floppy foot just ruins the device.
