1080 M12 MATTE BLACK 5ft x 1ft (5 Sq/ft) Car Wrap Vinyl Film

I purchased a new vehicle and used this to cover over the driver's side kick panel, inside the lower part of the door, and the outside front plastic panel of the front seat. It seems every car I've ever had gets all scuffed up in those places from swinging your feet in and out. This film covers it all handsomely. It took a while to cut and fit it (about an hour), but that was 2 months ago and this film hasn't peeled, torn, bubbled, or anything unwanted. It's GREAT. It's somewhat flexible and can be smoothed over gently curved surfaces. I did place this over slightly "textured" automotive interior plastic trim, and it adheres just fine. You can see my photos that show this film two months after applying it. Everything you see that's black (other than the floor mat) is this film. Took about an hour to do it all. I applied it in a heated garage, about 60 to 65 degrees F. I would not attempt to apply this in cooler conditions than that. The warmer it is, the better this goes on.

This seems exactly like the good stuff you'd see direct from a car factory. Strong and tough. I had some challenging curves to apply this to and that wasn't easy but you can pull it back and stretch it a bit. TAKE YOUR TIME and plan your install carefully because once you have it pulled away from the backing you can't really mess around or you risk getting dirt onto the sticky side and you'll never get that off. But - with careful application this stuff is really great and seems to hold up well. I put it on the front bumper and it's not been affected by road debris or bugs after a couple months of use.

Use this product on the door jams on my car, where my boots would scuff the paint. Very easy to install here and helps prevent scuffs and scratches.

Used this on my head unit trim bezel. I scratched the plastic pretty bad when trying to pull it off with a screw driver like an idiot. wrapped the entire trim piece. Took 3 tries to get it right but it looks pretty clean now. It does scuff pretty easy though.. Be sure to not get any debris under the film when applying, as the smallest spec will cause a noticeable inconsistency when applied to something. If you run your fingernail across this stuff it will scuff it pretty bad and you wont be able to fully clean it off. You can however get a majority of the scuffs out with a heat gun by just hitting it for a few seconds. Careful though as I have melted through when the heat gun is set too high. It is a slightly different tint of matte black than other parts of my interior but that's as expected with vinyl. Close enough though.

No issues with packaging or item. Used to black out the roof rails on my 2020 4Runner. Turned out great and a few head later still looks good.

The item arrived with a small divot in it and it wrinkles much more easily than other products I've used before. It also is much less durable as it ripped a little on some edges very easily when it was heated up with a hair dryer, I am not used to vinyl being so sensitive. I was able to wrap one small interior piece in my 2013 RAV4 but it looks like the long dash trim piece is going to be much harder and time consuming because of how weak this product is. The last vinyl product I used was 3M 1080 series from ECS Tuning and it was much stronger than this I'm not sure what makes the product sold here so fragile.

So far so good. I used this to turn my chevy emblem black on my truck. I was worried it would come off if it got wet because I wasn't able to get the corners tucked all the way under. We had a week of steady drizzle and it still looks good. If it does come off, I have enough to replace it several times over. I originally bought another brand that only came with enough for the front and back. I had to use both on the back because I messed up tracing the outline with a scalpel. I definitely think this is a superior product plus you get a lot more if you need to do it twice.

This was purchased to fix some paint that had peeled off the window trim of my car. It was very easy to apply and adhered great. I waited a while after purchasing to review to ensure it held up and it has done an excellent job in all elements! You can hardly tell there was peeled paint behind it. It matched great, covered great, and holds up very well. I would highly recommend this if you are looking for an option to fix a spot on your car without having to pay excessive amounts of money at a body shop. It is a matte finish but that is what the trim was on my car as well so it blended perfectly.
